H
There has been a lot of discussion about camera brand color science lately so I thought it would be interesting to take the same shot and change the ICC profile in capture one to each of the 4 major ILC brands and post them unedited to see if /p/ can spot the differences between default color science. In a day or two i'll post the results and we can all see how close we got.

Lmao it's all from the same raw file and he said it's unedited so the white balance is unchanged. Only the ICC profile changed you idiot. You do know what an ICC profile is right anon?

Your thread needs some more time in the oven.

>>4498620
Lmao we definitely know which one is Sony
>>
>>4498626
For real what is this shit. He doesn't even say anything about any lenses he used
>>
What thread did this spawn from?
>>

White balance isnt raw data, its metadata. Every raw processor applies it differently for each raw format and camera model (ie: lightroom will have daylight as 5200k w/magenta for one camera, 5600k w/green for another, and capture one will be different). Normalizing WB is not “editing”. You have to do it or your comparison is invalid.

top left is sony
top right is fuji
>>

I was just thinking the same thing. Top left looks like what I'd get from a A7IV on the ST profile.

Reveal time!

>its another “i fucked with the white balance to make sony green” episode
Its retarded. Ive used all 3 brands and sony is always reddish neutral, canon is always too cool, and nikon is green tinted. The z7ii is the most green tinted camera ive ever used other than some micro four thirds garbage.
>>
>>4498740
Yep that's exactly why I switched off Sony. Made everything super green and gross. Gave people corpse skin too
>>
>>4498744
Why do you samefag and lie like this?

You know the whole wide world outside of /p/ only has one issue with sony, and its blobmera bazookazoom boomers with sore hands whining about the cameras not being rubberized behemoths, right?
>>

What's samefagging?

A street photography thread died for this.

>green tinted
You know green/magenta tint is part of white balance, right?
>>
>an actually good thread died for a troll post
The absolute state of /p/ these days is depressing.

Correcting nikon green tint turns all the greens puke yellow. I switched to sony. Nikon has horrible color science. No wonder they’re just #3 and resort to selling gm class lenses as budget primes.

Hopefully they figure out how to use RED’s white man magic and improve eventually

>sony is always reddish neutral
That's been my experience too, I've never understood the green meme since I tended to see a lean towards red.
>>
>>4498783
Which one?
>>
>>4498740
Well well well
>>
>>4498795
The power of YouTubers is stunning if you really think about it. One woman that didn't know how to set WB correctly created a meme that has endured for years.
>>
>>4498740
Huh. I would have guessed Nikon and Canon to be swapped at first but it's absolutely that bit of extra magenta that gives it away.
Thing is, none of these look like true auto WB (okay maybe snoy really is that bad). It looks like they're all on their warm light preservation mode which probably skews results a little bit further.

its a troll post anon, the whole thread was just a joke

Sony green™

Holy cope
>>
>>4498805
If its auto WB the green and blue one would actually be the correct white balance for night scenes lit by fluorescents/LEDs.

Its all one camera with different WB settings btw
>>
>>4498786
In the last 3 years or so Sony changed from green to magenta bias, probably in response to being dunked on for their skin tone rendition.
