There has been a lot of discussion about camera brand color science lately so I thought it would be interesting to take the same shot and change the ICC profile in capture one to each of the 4 major ILC brands and post them unedited to see if /p/ can spot the differences between default color science. In a day or two i'll post the results and we can all see how close we got.

White balance isnt raw data, its metadata. Every raw processor applies it differently for each raw format and camera model (ie: lightroom will have daylight as 5200k w/magenta for one camera, 5600k w/green for another, and capture one will be different). Normalizing WB is not “editing”. You have to do it or your comparison is invalid.

>its another “i fucked with the white balance to make sony green” episode
Its retarded. Ive used all 3 brands and sony is always reddish neutral, canon is always too cool, and nikon is green tinted. The z7ii is the most green tinted camera ive ever used other than some micro four thirds garbage.

Why do you samefag and lie like this?
You know the whole wide world outside of /p/ only has one issue with sony, and its blobmera bazookazoom boomers with sore hands whining about the cameras not being rubberized behemoths, right?

Correcting nikon green tint turns all the greens puke yellow. I switched to sony. Nikon has horrible color science. No wonder they’re just #3 and resort to selling gm class lenses as budget primes.
Hopefully they figure out how to use RED’s white man magic and improve eventually

Huh. I would have guessed Nikon and Canon to be swapped at first but it's absolutely that bit of extra magenta that gives it away.
Thing is, none of these look like true auto WB (okay maybe snoy really is that bad). It looks like they're all on their warm light preservation mode which probably skews results a little bit further.
