100 years ago we went to the moon.

Now we have higher technology we still cannot go. Why exactly is this? Like there has to be a perfect explanation rather than we lost the technology aren't the rockets faster than back then? Aren't they more fuel efficient and can even recover the boosters? What the fuck is going on here?

NASA was doomed to failure the moment they were forced to accept the SLS program, which had nothing to do with making a functional launch vehicle and everything with just keeping makework jobs related to the Shuttle program going.

We lost the ability. Mutts are far weaker now than back then. For every dollar spent on space they got like 4 back. basically you lost the ability to do. All the skilled people left or died and they had to start from scratch.

The shuttle was meant to be a new age in space light but was far to complex and the could never operate outside of Low earth orbit. Russia had a liquid fuelled rocket for the Buran that could do 100 tonnes to orbit but we lost that too.

Basically e regressed as a species. SLS is a glorified jobs program using shit from shuttle and cost more per launch than the entire falcon program and I think the entire starship program so far. Even if starship never works we can use it disposably and still be a huge jump
>>
>>529643004
They literally have higher technology now bro this has to be sheer cope at this point everything since then has double in technical advancements.

The secret space program has been doing shit on the moon that they would have a VERRRRRY hard time explaining if they went back
>>
>>529642904
Very true. I checked the price of Reynolds wrap and cardboard. Surely the ability to build another lunar lander is beyond our capabilities
>>
>>529643001
The SLS is a rocket system which reuses tons of components and technologies from the Shuttle's booster state. It was never a good option or fit for purpose but NASA was forced to adopt it by Congress because the program kept a bunch of worthless factories making Shuttle components running.
>>
>>529642645
It's all funding. There's no real reason to go to the moon, so it gets kicked around to fund big contractors.
>>
>>529642645
I predicted this a year ago. When I first saw the mission spec for Artemis and heard all the surrounding propaganda about diversity and inclusion I knew this thing was never going to work. The US Space program is a lot more like Star Trek than we'd like to believe... a brief initial run that, while forward looking and interesting, became popular much later for all the wrong reasons, a long gap during which nobody seemed to care, and then a slew of try-hard series expansions that never quite delivered on the initial premise. Problem is nobody can make a reasoned case for why we should go back. There's nothing on the Moon for us and no reason to go. Never really was.

1969 - 57 years ago.
>>
>>529642645

>>529643320
This is what I've heard too. The sls nonsense basically required custom one off solutions for every launch and with the amount of tech in things these days that made complexity increase exponentially. One thing breaks in testing and you have to start all over again.

I also heard theyre going to switch to a more modular reusable model going forward that doesnt have these issues going forward. Should be much cheaper but like you said it means the money interests wont make as much. Add to all this that proposals problems and changes move at the speed of dc bureaucracy and thats why so.ething that would have been course corrected for in under 1 year in the private sector has taken this long to address.
>>
In real terms, NASA had 2–3× more buying power per year during Apollo than it does now, and a vastly larger share of national resources. The agency today operates on a fraction of the resources it had when it put humans on the Moon.

Look at SpaceX mission plan (amount of launches needed, required starship specs), look at their deliverables (when did they hit milestones, when was it projected, which did they not hit at all) and it's obvious why. It was never realistic, it was always either utopian/retarded or a con job.

behold this chart of nasas funding, there is your perfect explanation. they accomplished their main objectives then shut it down because the funding was pulled. space shuttle came along and it sucked and failed to be the low cost access to space it promised to be. then the sls came along and its an overpriced scam from legacy contractors to fleece the taxpayer again. no big mystery.

>we lost the technology
you don't even know what that means. it means the saturn rocket program was shut down, the facilities that made the rocket and the machines that made the machines that made that rokcet were abandoned or re-tooled for other purposes. just like we "lost the technology" to build model t cars. there's a whole production line you can't just dust off a blueprint and be up and rolling with a new rocket in a month.

you'll pretend you don't understand and dishonestly parrot "we lost the technology" like dishonest little shits anyways.

you think this is some kind of gotcha but it isn't

spacex is a private space company without nasas bloated bureaucratic overhead. they developed a semi-reusable rocket, the falcon 9, that has successfully landed over 500 times and is responsible for over half of all rocket launches in the world today.

spacex is building the starship, which will be the worlds first fully reusable rocket. a massive but difficult achievement. they are taking the approach of building and testing many prototypes to get there. they have been contracted to return to the moon, but obviously the rocket isn't ready yet.

musk proposes optimistic timelines for everything because he has aspergers and thinks he can only give a timeline based on if nothing goes wrong because he cant guess what will go wrong. but something is always going to go wrong which is where most people would pad their timelines with that in mind.

>>
>>529645562
and why is that bad? you'll get more for your tax dollar with spacex then nasa. and nasa doesn't build rockets anyways they farm that out, plus their bloated bureaucracy to locksneed and boeing who also have their own bloated bureaucracy on top of that and love to scam the shit out of taxpayers and under-deliver on everything. at least spacex delivers actual results with falcon 9 which is more affordable than any other options, and pushes the boundaries with some real ambition trying to build starship. which if successful could lower cost to space 100x ushering in a new space age.

>>
>>529646165
You posted that retarded shit twice now.
Manufacturing a model T is easier than ever today, it would be the same result but substantially more efficient to make.
Boomers can undertake such projects with just fibreglass.
Most people don't want to make Model Ts though, they make cars that are faster, safer, and handle better. The tooling for original model Ts being gone doesn't affect the car industry, they moved on.
Yet space travel hasn't moved on, weird.

>have to completely rebuild the human capital and expertise back from the ground up

It’s not “we can’t go back.” It’s that we can’t go back easily. It scares people not because of “muh fake moon landing” but because it shows how fragile niche expertise is and how society is basically in a near constant battle against entropy and inevitable collapse (the “people” protesting that NASA money could have gone to welfare are an example of such agents of doom).
>>

You do not get more for you tax dollars with spaceX and the only reason NASA doesn't build rockets anymore is because their funding is cut. NASA brings 80B per year to the US economy because they share their technologies with other US companies.

Retard.
You having faster internet and smartphone 100x more powerful than Apollo onboard computer means jack shit.
During the Cold War the best White men banded together, made their own tech because thy couldn't just use COTS shit and flexed on Ruskies after getting their asses handed to them by Gagarin.
It was a gamble but also gigantic historical event that will be remembered for millenia to come unless we nuke ourselves into stone age again.
Now fast forward to today.
There's no Cold War, no Space Race no claim for any and all 'first' in space anymore.
Just NASA full of diversity hires and absolutely thankless mission that won't bring global acclaim or recognition because we've been there already.
But if they fuck it up they would become a fucking global laughingstock for decades to come.
Now look at Boeing's Starliner '''''''performance''''''' or Elon ''It Was Totally Meant To Blow Up'' Musk's and tell me you'd put your career in their ''capable'' hands or try to stall for as long as humanly possible so it's not your fault when it all blows up in someone's face.

>>
>>529646448
to manufacture the model t, in its original form, at scale, and not a fiberglass one off replica, would involve having to rebuild the entire model t assembly line, which is lost technology because nobody even builds the machines that made the machines that made the machines that made the machines in an original model t factory anymore.

instead we build new modern cars on new modern assembly lines. we do the same with rockets, but our modern rockets are not designed with the capacity to go all the way to the moon, except the sls which sucks and the starship which is still in development.

and it was just an example of what "lost the technology" means so you can stop claiming it means something different and retarded

>YOU HAVE TO REBUILD THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY LINE
You don't, you'd need to create an assembly line, but it wouldn't look anything like what Ford's looked like in the 1930's. The technology available back then dictated the form, today we're not bound by that.
On the other hand no one at NASA should be trying to recreate the Apollo space craft. They're not limited to the form factor they had back then.

3 years later and i still havent seen an explanation of what the actual fuck is going with indias "moon landing"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dim8elzo5vE
no footage, no photos no data
just a 30 second clip of a ps1 animation next to the shiteater in chief as proof of a successful multi billion dollar space program
and the jeet at the end is the cherry on top
>sar we have achieved soft landing on the moon, india is on the moon

They "admitted it" after they got caught when people noticed it was fucking photoshopped using the clone tool. It's also value and hue edited and jazzed up to be more colorful and striking. Aka it's a fucking FAKE picture. It's just someone's interpretation.

They put out these things to get reddit-brain retards like you gushing about muh science so they can push for more funding for their dumb little projects. It's fraud.

God damn you ideologues are so fucking dogmatic about this shit like it's a religion or something.

that's just whatever narrative some grifter on youtube told you, i doubt that's even what happened. they take composite images of earth all the time because its the only way to get high detail and because to get a single frame image of earth (which do exist by the way) requires the expense of launching a probe into a much more distant orbit for a less detailed image because its not being taken close up. you annoy people because you're retarded

The main reason is that we are unwilling to put in the same effort, because we already went there.

why has it never been explained as to why the world discovered multiple orbiting satellites far before any country had the capabilities to launch them? isn't this the true smoking gun that either this planet was seeded by outside forces and/or there was a previous ancient culture that had the capabilities and was either wiped out or has been observing in the background?

You just can't accept that it's not a real picture. You keep jumping through a gymnastics course trying to explain why it actually is a real picture because it's a composite or it's stitched together but those things don't explain how a cloud group looks exactly the same hundreds of miles away.

The only thing that explains it is that they FUCKING PHOTOSHOPPED IT you goddamn retard. Maybe it's "based on" real images but the photo itself that they are trying to pass off as an image of Earth is OBJECTIVELY FAKE.

If I photoshopped a picture of some niggers fucking your mom, it wouldn't matter that it was based on a true event, you would still immediately call it fake.

Cloud systems can last for many hours or even days. So if a satellite captures one region at 9:00 a.m. and another region at 12:00 p.m., the same large storm system can still be there, just slightly shifted. When those frames are combined into a flat global map, parts of the same cloud system can appear more than once near the stitching edges.

And reflection alone is not enough to determine such a thing as the same material can easily be manipulated to have various sorts of reflections by applying circumstances not unlike those found in the colissions involved in creating such rocky splinters.

Rocket tech, gps and general tracking has greatly improved over the years, especially thank to military applications, this is pure cope, it's not a niche, way better technology is available, if we believe the drones that were sent over the decades are real on both mars and the moon then there is no issue in getting there and safely landing, yet this new human space program supposedly should've been there during the Obama administration, it has been almost 20 years and 0 progress has been made.

I'm not a flat earther, but the picture is fake and I can admit it. It doesn't prove that the Earth is flat or that space is fake, but it does prove fraud at NASA - which is not even particularly difficult or novel of a claim. Like I said, what you're doing is dogma not science.

>>529642645
We'd already be there if let Elon handle it.

Still using old booster technology, that the Russians are better at, was not a wise move.
>>
>>529642645
>Like there has to be a perfect explanation rather than we lost the technology aren't the rockets faster than back then?
We didn't lose any technology. We could build brand new Saturn V rockets and new versions of all of the Apollo technology, it's would just be insanely expensive (like it was the first time) and pretty retarded to try to recreate 60+ year old designs.
All of the issues with the SLS are NOT because we don't have the technology or have gone backwards or can't get to the moon anymore. The issues with the SLS are precisely because political reasons forced NASA to try to get to the moon by retrofitting and reusing all the leftover space shuttle technology that was originally designed 50+ years ago for a completely different purpose. And they had to do it using 9000 different contractors spread out over every voting district in the country for political reasons.
With all of the huge advancements in technology, CAD, materials science, automation, etc since the '60s, it is actually much easier and cheaper to get to the moon today than it was in the '60s if that's your only goal. NASA was getting like 4% of the entire federal budget during the space race to pay for Apollo, now we just have really rich dudes achieving similar capability as a hobby project.
SLS/Artemis is an extremely flawed boondoggle of a project. I think at this point, NASA knows they are never going to land people on the moon with that system, and are just using it to stall for time until SpaceX gets to the point where they can just do the whole thing without needing to somehow use leftover STS components.
>>
>>529652731
Well you did forget to mention that.

And yeah, it's just a product of celestial impact, naturally it has a rather wide range of appearances.
Point is that the forces involved in sucg events can easily warp materials far beyond what standard earthbound conditions might deem, eh, recogniseable.

Many cases of misidentifications because of that, only credible way to make a theory like yours remotely plausible is to actually grab one of those satellites and study it in earnest.

Theory and deductive measurement are nice but no substitute for proper experimentation.
>>
Funding issues mostly. We have higher safety and building standards which raises cost which no one wants to pay because any returns would take decades at best to be paid back.

Sure and then there's also midnight sun and polar nights that we get here in the Arctic.
Flatards only need to go to the arctic circle mid summer and again mid winter, that should sort it out. Surprisingly many people have never heard of it. Then there's also Northern Lights, which happen when solar flares hit the magnetic north pole. So basically if you know how a compass works and follow the needle all the way to the magnetic north, but keep going, the needle flips and now points where you came from. So we have as evidence

>magnetic compass

Going to space does not give an ROI. NASA itself has a ROI near that number, but that is due to the technology they develop to complete a mission. We would be better off if NASA did R&D for the technology they think they would need, and then just decided not to go.

if they're so real then why has nobody ever captured one and brought it to earth? not one picture or video of what the surface of a cloud looks like. not one man has tried to walk on a cloud even though it would be super comfy to take a nap on a cloud but you can't because they're not real
>>
>>529642645
because the point of the space program is surveillance and telecommunications, not photo ops that you retards will just deny anyway?

why would i listen to someone from europe, a fake place that's not even real. nobody has ever been there because heavier than air flight is impossible. the gullible retards who go on those planes are megadosed with 5g fake memories of fake places and everyone who says they're from europe or asia is a fucking liar or a glowie. you're not real, clouds aren't real, planes are fake, the government lies, fuck you.

The problem with Artemis is that it involves actually doing something (building a rocket and going to the moon) and they don't have enough white men left to make that happen, much less enough nazis.

you'll believe anything they tell you
fog isnt fluffy and white with distinct edges like clouds. clouds are fog is one of the more absurd theories i hear from the "trust the science" shills.

if clouds were real then why am i getting so many desperate shills responding just pointing out the simple truth anyone can see with their eyes that clouds arent real.

also, water doesnt bend, but clouds are round, you cant make it make sense

Wow, you mean the same equipment and infrastructure that we didn’t even have the technical knowledge for, much less the equipment and infrastructure, before NASA was created?

All your excuses are for gay retards. Why won’t you just accept the obvious truth?
>Your government lied to you to steal money from you.

How the FUCK is this so hard to believe?
>>
>>529665621
goverment "meterologists" from nasa have been telling these sheeple that clouds are real for decades, they'll believe anything. they think clouds are made from water because the government says so. zero capacity for independent thought. if water was fluffy and white how could you even drink it? zero records of clouds in ancient paintings. government lies. clouds are fake. only men like us see the truth
>>
>>529643004
Please tell me the difference in equipment needed to go to the moon versus what we're doing right now. Because we're sending record breaking payloads, we have a space station, and now we're even catching rockets. Technically, we've never been better. Equipment has never been better. Infrastructure has never been better. You don't think we could throw together a landing module? Is that it?

You would need some sort of way to steer, since rockets don’t work in space.

Plenty of perfectly valid reasons to shoot rockets at space. But we can't get people to the moon. Because if we could, we would.

why do you faggots use the leftist playbook of pretending not to understand something to make discourse impossible?
they don't have infinite budget any more, the factories that built themselves up from building suborbital sounding rockets to saturn Vs closed, rocketdyne now has a few hundred employees instead of tens of thousands, the infrastructure is rusted and abandoned, the people with the skillsets retired and weren't replaced. End of story

Thrusting off of what, anon? The reason rockets work on earth is because of the atmospheric pressure.

Go watch a LEO launch. As they gain altitude, the atmosphere becomes thinner, and you can see the plume from the rocket grow larger and larger as there is less matter to retrain it. In a vacuum, free expansion occurs and no work is done.

You used to learn this in high school.

clouds are fake
>never seen in ancient paintings
>no mention in roman documents
>water is transparent not white, yet nasa tells us that clouds are somehow made of water
>the government says clouds are real, they lie about everything

when the cloud deception is exposed for the fraud that it is the entire new world order will crumble, all the lies from the governments, scientists, media, and universities about clouds being real will be exposed and the whole system will crumble. thats why shills are so desperate to convince you of the cloud delusion. you have to be a quadruple vaxxed retard to still believe in clouds.

Correct interpretation of this is he is admitting it never happened but is curious himself why the technology never caught up to make it a reality.
