That unironically is more chairs than I thought they'd fit in that tiny ass space. No idea how Tony got tricked into this one.
>400 person capacity WITHOUT a ring btw

>Tony got tricked
He's a special boy.
But I don't think he was "fooled" into this. I think nobody wants to watch ROH even with free tickets. What a waste of 40+ million $$$

Ok fair enough but in what universe is this a good idea or a good look? Isn't this a taped show that is aired... somewhere? It is smaller than NWA POWERRRRRRRR's set.
I don't see how he would willingly tape there unless it is a scenario in which dad made a deal and he got forced into it. You'd think he'd want at least 400-500 around the ring. High school gyms are bigger.

ROH tapings during Delirious's run had significantly more people in attendance than this. ROH is only still around to justify AEW's bloated roster. None of the belts matter, none of the shows matter, none of the matches mater. It's just AEW Dark with ROH logos slapped over everything.
>>
>>
>>19988056
I wish I could see how far back the seats on the right are to get a better idea of the count, but I've seriously been to all indy women shows at my local community center that looked more lively than this.
>>
>>
>>19988269
Jumping in, it's a better idea for ROH than anything he's done with it for a year before it, maybe 2 years. It's been an inaccessible show to anyone who isn't a supermark and willing to run through hoops to see a show where nothing matters from AEW's stand point or even their own. The belts are just memorabilia for all intends and purposes.
But it's still too little too late in my opinion. Should have just cut losses and sold the remains to I don't know, NWA?
>>
Cost-cutting to this extent makes no fucking sense when he has over 200 wrestlers under contract. just fucking cut 30-40 people you aren't using and do a bigger venue. if tickets are free there's no way he couldn't fill 2300 arena or something.

There's zero shot there's 200 people here.
Also Okada is on the tapings.
>>
>>19988411
The idea itself is fine but again you could go to a high school gym or vfw hall and have more room and better setup. I don't get paying for this kind of low rent shit.

This is great for ROH. Give them their own dedicated crowd that isn’t right before an AEW show and tape 4-5 episodes about every month. Really want it to get a boost going forward because that would be great for the industry

Maybe it was a test run. They're keeping the tapings there, we'll see what happens in a few weeks.

What's your point? ROH is a development now unfortunatel. It doesn't really need a TV deal and should be used to develop young talent and shake off ring rust. ROH getting a TV deal would be bad for the business because it would almost definitely go against TNA and TNA can barely afford ham and eggs.

Not anymore, Tony's killed anyone's interest in ROH. I was going to ROH shows 20 years ago when Gabe was still booking, and Punk, Bryan, Joe, Nigel, etc were all headlining. That seems like a completely different promotion compared to Tony's ROH. He's completely killed ROH's legacy and turned it into the spillover toybox. What he did to ROH is even worse than what WWE did to ECW's reputation when they made the ECW brand. People still have nostalgia for classic ECW. You can't say the same about ROH.

The problem with this is Jacksonville isn't a tourist destination. At least when TNA was shooting in Orlando, you had a different batch of tourists every taping. If he's regularly shooting in Jacksonville, it's just going to be the same 200 AEW stans every time.

Nu ROH still has had some good shit though. There is no great way to do it without hurting AEW, and if Tony didn't buy it it would be dead or in a far worse state than it is now.
>>
>>
>>
>>19988981
Tony only bought ROH to try to curry favor with CM Punk. Hell, Punk was probably the one that told him to buy it in the first place just so WWE didn't get the tape library. Punk's probably regretting that now; it would have been cool if this CM Punk Showcase in the new 2K game could have used some ROH footage and showcased some of his early matches. Meanwhile, Tony's just been sitting on the ROH tape library for 4 years and has done jack shit with it.

Did this even happen? I have no memory of AEW airing on TruTV.

Counting from the left, the guy in the red tanktop is 10th from the left, and looking at the other side, there are 4 people after him. There are 3 rows on that side, one row on the other two sides
14x5=70
But there seem to be about ten random chairs added besides that so I would bump it up to 80 seats in the building.
I can see 18 empty seats and the other side only has 3 people out of 14 possible seats so:
80 capacity
51 attendance
>>
>>19989455
I know it was a thing because I know watched an episode in the past but I don't think it's a thing anymore. I just checked the TruTV schedules and each of the other Turner stations and none of them have AEW programming in that slot.

>Isn't this a taped show that is aired... somewhere?
Nope, it isn't aired anywhere. It streams on HonorClub which probably has under 1000 active subscribers. ROH is Tony's dumping ground/prison for all the toys he gives absolutely zero shits about but is too scared to release because people might call him mean names or they might sign with WWE.

Not really,
ROH is typically pretty small with the exception of major shows (which still wind up being small)
The only bad thing about it is lighting.
It’s far too bright for an ROH show and highlights the crowd more.
>>
>>19990471
I'd count that enough that you'd want it to not look like total ass but... yeesh. Sounds more and more like ROH needs delirious back kek
Considering he's killing TNA with dreamer it would probably be for the best.

A lot of their TV has been around this size.
They had around 100 according to someone there and could probably fit around 100-150.
There isn't much you can hope for from a studio in Jax though and TK is a busy guy so it's either this or tape before AEW TV or find someone else to run it.
