>Comes out
>No reaction at all
That wasn't only because he's an unknown wrestler, plenty of unknown wrestlers debuted and generated reactions decades again. This faggot looks like a joke, like one of the fans watching the show. No mass, no presence.

Because he legitimately can’t wrestle lol. I don’t even understand how he got popular in the first place. I use reddit. He wasn’t that popular on reddit and as soon as he got to AEW people were like “what the fuck is this?”
Is he a twitter thing? Was he using bots to generate buzz?

I’ve never seen a Danhausen shirt in public or at an AEW or WWE show. And I’ve never seen that “merch mover” statement proven, it just gets repeated by Danhausen fans. I’m convinced he just buys his own merch to juice his numbers.

>it's just made up because I don't like him and I don't want it to be real
I've seen tons of danhausen shirts at AEW shows. Just because reality doesn't align with your personal opinion doesn't mean you can just pretend it's not real

There's already a Dark Side of the Ring being worked on about the Danhausen disaster

I wonder what were they thinking debuting the guy in the middle of a PPV, he's a comedy jobber who barely wrestles, he should be on NXT alongside the rest of the AEW guys who got hired because they're friends with Cody

Comedic weirdo with a silly gimmick isn’t new. Kit Wilson and R-Truth are around. He’ll just join that tier of nonsense, which is fine, whatever. Wrestling is a carnival variety show, and all that…
I think I’m just surprised that:
1) WWE looked at the roster and thought they needed a comedy jobber with a silly gimmick. Like, is there really a gaping hole in THAT area that needs filling?
2) That they debuted him with the fucking box trope, which most new fans have no idea is a trope. So fans got worked up that something important would be coming out of it, only to be let down by a clown show. It felt like punking the audience, which is a great Danhausen gag, but clearly didn’t go over well in the United Center.
In short, it’ll be fine and no one will care next week. But I can’t imagine this act will have staying power unless Danhausen REALLY wins everyone over.
But he’s got one chance, lol. Better not blow it.

In all fairness, he got a great reaction at the sold out United Center for the Forbidden Door pre-show. If any market was going to pop for Dirty Dan the Bootlegging Man, it's Chicago. Honestly, I could see the boos being because he didn't interact with anyone or cut a promo but came out to do a dance to a pre-recorded song and then leave.

I remember thinking the Survivor Series Egg was going to be Ted DiBiase's mystery partner. Learning that was the plan made my inner child feel vindicated. Still, could you imagine if Undertaker came out of a giant egg? I have a feeling "a giant zombie mortician comes out of a turkey egg, does some space age offense, and drops Koko B Ware on his head" is undeniably awesome even with the silliness. But man, how Vince is that original logic? "The egg you've seen for weeks was actually an eeeeevil egg." Doink logic.

Danhausen is like a cartoon comedic side character that gets added late in a series but tonally doesn't match the product and takes the limelight from the established stars while adding nothing.

Who the fuck is wearing this in public?

Supposedly he was supposed to debut months ago but Tony added time onto his contract. They debuted him at Elimination Chamber because Chicago's a big smark crowd, so they assumed he'd getter a bigger reaction there as opposed to like Corpus Cristi, TX or whatever.

He sucks at wrestling but he's a personality. His debut shirt became the top seller for WWE. Even when he was in the dog house with AEW, he moved merch at the booth.
He's old, he's fragile, he's awkward, but people dig his silly voice and kooky words. Yeah, he's a cult wrestler but his cult shows up for him.

thank you for telling us all about WWE's internal plans and feelings, hopefully you will give us scoops more often. Oh wait, you don't have scoops, you're just some faggot making up headcanon after the fact.

The YouTube video of his segment tonight has a lot of views and likes already. People in the comments all seem to like him. I was at EC and I thought this guy was dead in the water after hearing the boos. Not sure after tonight. If they handle him correctly, he could be a huge character in WWE and I don't think I would have believed that earlier today.

>YOU. ARE. CURSED! On an evening where the WWE Superstars took unforgettable risks inside the Elimination Chamber, the raucous Chicago crowd is sure not to forget the debut of the very nice, very evil Danhausen! Show that you're eager to see who the unsettling enigma brings bad fortune to next by grabbing this Cursed! T-Shirt. The stylized Superstar graphics printed across the front and back make it clear that anyone who crosses Danhausen is bound to get a wide-eyed curse for their troubles.

I'm convinced the boos were because he didn't really do anything. Imagine if Chris Jericho's debut wasn't in a duelling promo with the Rock but he just came out and basically waved to the crowd and left. People would have booed that in 1999 like "That's it?!"

Dang. It's already a top selling shirt. It would be so funny to see Danhausen blow up in popularity after leaving AEW.
