It is the year 2026, Earth. You were a more or less ordinary inhabitant of this world, until today. A mysterious figure has appeared to you in a vision and explained that you have been granted two supernatural powers. The power of teleportation, and the power of time reversal. At will, you can reappear in any place you can imagine, and you can revert back in time to any point of your life after the moment you were granted the power.
At first, you didn't believe it. You thought you had dreamed it. But you decided to give it a try, and you teleported to the other side of your room. Then you rewound time back to before you teleported. It works. Now you will have to think carefully about what to do with your power.

It seems that fate has chosen you, Da-bin Choi, a high school student in Samjiyon, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Your father is a labourer in the city and your mother is a cleaner at the tourist resort. Your older brother joined the army to help give your family a better life, but he died last year in a training accident, or so they told you. You think he really died fighting in Ukraine. You've long known that everything told to you about the outside world is a lie. There are whispers and rumours, and the occasional smuggled USBs. You even watched some dramas from the South with your friends on one of their fathers' smartphone. The truth seems clear to you: in foreign countries, people live better, and they are free. They don't have to be afraid of being arrested and executed for watching dramas, listening to music, or speaking their minds. You're sure that a democracy where you're required to vote for the chosen candidate isn't a real democracy. You think that when someone speaks the truth, they don't need soldiers to arrest anyone who says otherwise. You want to learn more about the outside world, and more than anything, you want to bring the freedom they have to your homeland. Perhaps fate gave you these new powers for that reason.
Before you do anything, you decide to test out the limits of your powers. You know you can teleport to somewhere in your line of sight. Making sure no one, is watching, you try teleporting to a different room in the house. It works. Then you decide to try teleporting to your school, which also works. You find yourself standing in your empty classroom. You teleport back home and try to teleport to Pyongyang from there. Your mind strains and it fails. It seems you need to have an image of the specific place in your mind. You picture Kim Il Sung square in your mind, and imagine yourself appearing in front of the stairs of the Grand People's Study House. You feel a puff of air around you, and when you open your eyes you see the building before you. You've only ever seen it in pictures before, and it looks grander seen from below. It's night time and there's no one around except for some guards. One of them notices you from across the square and shouts to his comrades. You quickly teleport back to your room again.
You think the first thing you should do now is leave the country. You've been studying Mandarin in school, but you don't know any other foreign languages.
