There's really not, lad. When you grow up you realise everything else is cope and filling time between penis in vagina moments. It's why you could ask every man a question like:
>Would you rather be Terrance Tao or Jason Luv?
And immediately and categorically know that there is only one correct answer.

For me, it's the post-season-10 episodes of The Simpsons where they decided Barney should become (and remain) sober. Bit shit, wasn't it?
Well, I have old MSN screenshots of me as a teenager talking like a complete robot:
>hi hw r u?
>I feel well, thank you. And yourself?
Conversationally, I actually use proper spelling and punctuation out of habit. Zonked out on ketamine, even *I* can't understand some of my posts here the next day.
Anyway, if you're all going to bitch about someone using lowercase, or that they sometimes accidentally a word, I can and will bust out the big guns when it comes to spelling and grammar. Some of you absolute plebs think you're using an noun phrase when you *should* have been using a hyphen to form a compound adjective. LMAO!

was it ITT the other day we were talking about reading over the years like i brought up Kurt Vonnegut novels, how they 'stopped' making sense? the words themselves obviously don't change, so it must be on the reader's end. shit was so strange, i might try again soon.
anyways watched this film recently and tbqh it wasn't very good. i wanted to like it more. i even get the transgender thing but it came off like a 14-year-old saying, 'look everyone, i am doing THEMES, aren't i grown-up and smart?' when...no mate, you come across 14.
BUT what DID make some sense was when they rewatch !notBuffy years later and realise it isn't very good. go fire up your fave old PlayStation 1 game right now. remember how fun it was? how great the graphics were? how big and exciting the levels felt? go play the exact same game. then come back and tell me with a straight face that Pandemonium or even Crash Bandicoot are anything but complete and utter shite.
>>
>>84358529
Always irked me how Simpsons would half-arse continuity.
>Barney is sober now, but only when we remember to write the character that way
>Bart and Nelson are friends now, but only when we remember
>Homer and Burns are friends now, but only when we remember
Just do character development, or don't do it.
>>
>>84358576
I think that's true of throwaway media, but some things from the 90s still hold up.
I'd say something like Dante's Peak is a better action movie than anything made in the last decade.
I'd rather play Lylat Wars than any modern shooter.
>>
>>84358576
I can unironically play Crash Bandicoot just fine, and I have more fun with it than most new games. It's a platformer. It's a pretty timeless genre.
I even think it looks pretty good. They knew how to get the most out of the PS' limitations.

aye it seemed organic early on. like they knew it was an episodic show but they could still reference past events, so they 'happened'. later on they got TOO smug about
>lol everything resets...again!
which is one of those samejokes that bugs me.
the original plan with 'Who Shot Mr. Burns?' is that it ended the running gag where Mr. Burns didn't know Homer's name. which is actually kind of cute and they stuck to it for a while. then the writers just forgot and brought it back.
the only ironclad one was that Lisa REMAINED a vegetarian because Paul McCartney demanded it. but i'll bet they've flouted it by now.

i like all the PS1 Crash Bandicoot games but tbqh it's largely the nostalgia of it.
i agree with
>I even think it looks pretty good. They knew how to get the most out of the PS' limitations.
and Crash's expressions are funny as hell. character that goes with how the animations were done back then.
but
>It's a platformer. It's a pretty timeless genre.
this i disagree with. it's like a puzzle game where you solve the puzzle by having all the pieces. for a platformer, you NEED to see what's going on. some kaizo nonsense, 'aha! there was a HIDDEN BLOCK there!' is bullshit.
every few years mate A and i dust off Crash 1 and that first crate bridge in the very first level never feels satisfying. nobody has ever thought, 'ohhh i was meant to hold down for 43 milliseconds, not 48 milliseconds! THAT'S the trick!'
and that's ignoring the levels where you're running towards the screen and can't see what's coming up next. imagine if in Super Mario World, someone covered the right-hand-side of your screen with a black sheet of paper. you'd be fumin.

was cooking mostly my own food consisting of wholefoods but now I have decided to completely cut out added sugar from honey (I may do one teaspoon as honey is apparently good for you, but not adding it willy nilly to shit), excessive spices, bread (not eaten in 7 days) and dairy (as an experiment to see what happens, I can eat dairy fine I think), switched to green tea, formerly have quit spaffing to amateur solo female pornography, but will still spaff because im not doing 0 fun food and 0 spaffing, spaffington to be limited to no more than 1 in 7 days, simply to exercise the spaff demon and am forcing myself to eat more nuts and gay shit like avocados and read more, I've also started writing.
I can say so far I have noticed
>actual energy and a strange will to actually get out of bed in the morning after 8 hours, no longer feel like I'm being punished upon waking
>no energy dips, no feeling of wanting to nap
>poos are softer and more plentiful
>feel internally cleaner
>appear to have lost water in my face
dunno how long I'll be able to keep it up though, I liked food, I feel like something is missing from cheeky seed oils, honey and spices, meals are no longer a thing I look forward to, hopefully my brain adjusts. Next thing I need to stop the scrooling, I also wish there was a porn filter on this site.

all sounds great, anon. hope you can keep this stuff up. nowt wrong with nuts and avocados. not even 'guac' or some shit: just halve an avocado and eat it with a spoon, it's actually lush (pricey, mind).
even with Caucasian lactose tolerance you can really FEEL when you've had too much milk (you just can). and granulated sugar is basically as pointless as it gets, even if it's lush.
i've done lots of similar changes over the years and you quickly realise, 'holy shit this is just how my body CAN feel?' especially with the energy and pooing.
if i keep this sobriety going, next on the chopping block is caffeine. coffee = the cigarettes of the gen X to zoomer generations.

ohh i see. before Yellow came out, ONE lad at my school beat me to catching them all ;__;
i had no idea how he got all three starters, then i realised he probably used his sister's Game Boy. at least with the trade-evolves you can just trade them straight back, but practically speaking: getting Charmander/Bulbasaur/Squirtle were the hardest. what kid was ever going to give you theirs?
then Yellow just GIVES you them all, what the hell.
>>84358990
ooo aye. i also like the 90s 3D for item cards (less so for monsters, although Voltorb and Kakuna are fine i suppose).
the flatter, more cartoony style they ended up using was a huge downgrade. it's like if your favourite cartoon switched to using Flash.

what about that strikes you as uptight, anon? we know what effects these substances have. caffeine is different in your mid 30s to in your mid teens. same goes for cigarettes.
but you can see the cultural parallels with Britons in the past stood around having a few ciggies to chill out, with young'uns today who like their coffee.
i'm calm BECAUSE i've had my coffee. otherwise i'd be irritable. like having your morning nicotine fix. while also knowing you are developing a sensitivity AND withdrawals (aaaaa)

this is it, really. i hope that anon isn't taking the fronting as genuine.
Gen X were 'jaded' and 'ironic' but that's all a face that RELIES ON emotionality. at the end of the day, Kurt Cobain (and similar lads) committed suicide.
turns out male emotionality is pretty consistent throughout history. it just became trendy for a while that we ought to 'show emotions more', and i agree in a mental health sense, but i disagree in a sexually dimorphic sense. those so-called 'emotionless' lads are the ones who go mental on a coke binge one day and kick in their girlfriend's car.
the YouTuber yelling at you to go to the gym has already lost (and is selling something). good men are the ones who COULD kick your arse, but they have developed a sense of temperance. they ALWAYS have some history.
men feel struggling and suffering by default. if they didn't, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Do not put your trust in princes,

No reason for doing so has been given. I surmise it's to downgrade to a lower tier of AI API for filing profiles of users.

Mind when this one came out on the Gamecube and ps2 It had a lot of hype cus it was really good an it was after a couple of not so good ones ! Third person shooter too......would be fun to play this now if i had it. 007 Nightfire on the Gamecube was really fun to me as well though I played 2 player with my cousin and the single player was fun aswell. :3 Honestly Nightfire was quite atmospheric an kino.

mad i never played Perfect Dark and i barely know anything about it at all. then t'other day Crosslad posted that GameCube one that was like another underrated gem/spiritual sequel/summat.
they were just trying everything at one point. someone out there LOVES Splinter Cell. you guys remember Splinter Cell? that is somebody's favourite.
i think it's more telling that a lot of 'Nintendo first-party properties' had some ace games made by other companies. e.g. Rare did Star Fox Adventures. two of the best 2D Zeldas were by Capcom (and then, arguably, a third). Retro Studios did Metroid Prime.
so when people go, 'my beloved Nintendo! it's a great Japanese company, their Japanese spirit is why they dedicate themselves to such high quality games!' ...no? most of their games are shite lol
>>
>>
>>
>>84360168
my friend (who had GoldenEye) was into them all but as a kid i just found guns boring. swords-and-sorcery stuff, loved all that. guns? you just shoot someone dead, boring.
then i watched the Star Wars videos AND OH MY DAYS and then The Phantom Menace came out and we didn't know it was the worst film ever made yet. so he and i just got super into Star Wars and he bought all the games and we moved on to those.
i actually only watched Dr. No and From Russia with Love a few years ago and yeah, damn, they're pretty good. i don't want to call them 'camp' (they're not) but they're way more FUN than i expected.
i know some later ones do just get ridiculous, but apparently it's only the much newer ones that went grim n gritty? it's actually backwards. if you imagine Sean Connery tied to a chair getting his knackers walloped it's hilarious. he just gets slapped once and there's a trickle of blood, then the villain goes, "Henchman! Enough! We need him."
maybe the next ones will be done as anime with a screamo soundtrack.
>>
>>84360224
nah. most Nintendo-made Mario or Zelda games are bad. i love the good ones too, don't get me wrong there.
>ah but THAT Zelda doesn't count because it's not a MAIN Zelda...
yet these same people jump for joy if there's, say, a puzzle game spin-off of Mario and it turns out to be fun.
way more misses than hits. way more of the good games in the Mario, Zelda, etc 'franchises' were not developed by Nintendo than those that were.
more of a characterisation of the fans, really. THEY'VE BEEN FALLING FOR THIS FOR DECADES NOW aaaaaaa

You have a very strange contrarian opinion, and I'm not playing along with it.
>way more of the good games in the Mario, Zelda, etc 'franchises' were not developed by Nintendo
That's pretty much not true. Capcom made the GBC Zelda, which were heavily modeled on Link's Awakening, and that's about it. I don't think any of the "real" Marios have ever not been made by Nintendo. Closest you'll get to that is the RPG spinoffs.
>>
>>84360286
ohhh snap we may just have to agree to disagree.
>>84360311
nah not just being awkward/contrarian, lad. it's more the passage of time and the way people say stuff like "let's give Nintendo extra time, they always give games that Nintendo polish :)"
...which totally IGNORES the BAD games. like go through the lists on Wikipedia or somewhere.
and if HAL Laboratories does a cool spin-off fighting game, we all celebrate. another win for Nintendo! if Camelot makes another boring Mario Sports game, well...that's what we were expecting, innit.
Metroid Prime and Oracle of Ages are floofing GREAT. but how about that Link's Crossbow Training, eh?
>>
>>84360189
Star fx adventures wis hated when it came out I remember it. It wisnt really a star fox game. It wis really easy as well, it takes a lot fir me to think that about a game too. Its kinda interesting bc that game I mentioned is Second Sight which wis really good It wis the devs of Timesplitters free radical designs which wis an offshoot of Rare. But at that same time the actual Rare wis on Xbox then coming out wiv some proper sh-te like Perfect Dark Zero, Grabbed by the ghoulies. Rare has never recovered from leaving Nintendo. Was Star fox adventures the last Rare game on nintendo? Probably wis? The graphics were beautiful but the game wis sh-te, i still qUITE LIKED IT, personally but I could still tell its sh-te
>>
>>84360325
How about Super Metroid and Link's Awakening? The games that Metroid Prime and Oracle of Ages wouldn't exist without.
You don't have to pretend Nintendo never make good games to be aware that other people also make good games. This is a strange angle, and I'm not letting you have it.
>>
>>
>>84360330
but you can play this same game in reverse, laddington. i find Ocarina of Time slow and boring, i do not think it's fun to explore, fight, or solve puzzles in. i don't consider it a masterpiece.

well ACTUALLY...
he did. yeah, filmmaking is collaborative, but it's the most documented film possibly of all time. the original behind-the-scenes stuff looks like it could have been naff, but that's true for any film. of course editing matters. so does the score, so does the dubbing. and damn right have i read all his original drafts.
George Lucas created Star Wars. don't worry lid, i'm giving my actual thoughts and I'm interested in yours. we're all frens here <3

>ohhh snap we may just have to agree to disagree.
But its jist a question of numbers. What zelda games are 3rd party? Oracle of ages/seasons, Minish cap, CDi games lol? So how can it be most good zelda games are 3rd party unless you think those are better than links awakening link to the past breath of the wild majoras mask..,...It is numerically false. The most prolific will be Rare which is def my fav they made some of the best games on nintendo consoles, The N64 wouldnt be the same w/o them At all!...... But that doesnt then mean nintendos games are bad ?....
..*Also Rare is second party not third. Retro is FIRST as they are wholly owned by Nintendo since 2002 ! So Nintendo itself would have been heavily involved in those games. Its not like actual third party where its developed away somewhere totally different.Super Mario World is sh-te Wind Waker is sh-te? lol Definitely contrarian desu
>>
>>84360348
just giving an example of the cause-and-effect reversed, lad. again, i do like Nintendo-developed games when they hit (OoT is a miss for me tbqh).
i enjoyed Breath of the Wild, i'm sure others have said this but it's like what Zelda would be if there weren't any Zeldas since the first one. then one day they brought it back, why not.
most of the ones in-between are a bit rubbish. and it's insane to me what people excuse. WHY CAN'T I JUMP IN THE 3D ONES? not some Roc's Feather item. LET ME JUMP LIKE MARIO.

widen the scope from Zelda games to just all-games-kind and 7/10 of that last is bad, 2/10 is what the kids call 'mid', and 1 in 10 of those games are really good.
search your feelings. you know it to be true.
>>
>>84360378
Yeah but likewise as some would make excuses you are applying this OTT scrutiny because they are popular which isnt fair. Ocarina of time is like a all time gaming defining game for millions of people desu Myself included Out of the nostalgia etc. I also find it pretty slow an clunky nowadays but that doesnt change what it was in 1998 ! That is almost 30 years ago so yea its dated ! (The QoL improvements on the 3DS version is nice though :3)
>>
also, that's just the 'main series timeline'. that's not what i was saying.
it's as if the implication is
>well you have to cut them some slack if it's not a MAINLINE Zelda...
...why? if a non-main Zelda is good (maybe Hyrule Warriors is ace, who knows) the same slack-cutters will come out of the woodwork to tell you how amazing it is and Zelda has proven itself to transcend even the main series.
i love Sonic. and, like all Sonic fans, i accept that >90% of the Sonic games are utter shite. as in, actively bad.
it's not some personal attack against you, Zelda/Mario/whatever people. Nintendo just makes mostly bad games, and their big franchise are made up of mostly bad games. that's completely fine.
>>
>>
>>84360391
have to just disagree then, maybe i'm being a bit presumptuous because people go into "it's a feature, not a bug" mode with OoT.
strongly recommend the decomps if you want to play them again with QoL features. But ALttP is as fun as it's always been, IMO. you're not just like, running across a field while someone tells you that's brilliant.
...and i'm a Morrowind-enjoyer ( ._.)
>>
>>84360401
Nobody says this stuff though. If you go on the subreddits for mario/zelda whatever where its normie centric theyre critical of the games. On /v/ even more so of course. Nobody would claim every single game in those franchises are Mario Sunshine level or Wind Waker level. Its a bit of a strawman.
>>
>>
okay this MIGHT sound crazy, but Mario 64 was a better Zelda game than Zelda 64.
it didn't just tell you where to go, you were open to go basically wherever and then more stuff opened it up. you were like, solving quests. looking for changes. EXPLORING. little hints and then you found the star.
i know this sounds insane. but that's what they could have done with 3D Zelda. we all have 2D Zelda overworlds burned into our brains. but moving around them is fun.Mario 64 pulled that off by jove THEY DID IT
>>
>>
>>
>>84360412
fair enough then lad, i see some of the same patterns with Nintendo in general but the attitudes may have shifted without me noticing. no joke, some people called Ocarina of Time the best game ever. like that was a given in the 2000s. it's a masterpiece!
>>84360416
true but again it's coming off a more interesting world (ALttP) and i think the designers have even agreed in interviews. it spawns monsters at night just to have something. sometimes, you find a hole. the hole leads to a 20 rupee chest. ALttP had like, a whole world.
it's pretty telling when the game gives you a horse to move faster and your feeling is, 'oh, thank god.'
>>
>>84360418
Mario 64 and OoT are both good games though. They dont cancel each other out. Also People legit said that at the time about OoT though lol older people. But nobody our age in Britain was thinking "this should have been like the 2D overworlds" the game was lit, it was amazing. I actually played it in 1998, on a tiny CRT it was like hypnotising, I didnt even get far enough to being adult Link lol couldnt get past the fish and I loved it.
>>
>>84360431
>ALttP had like, a whole world.
Yeah so Donkey Kong Country 2 is better than Gex 3D....theyre completely different games with different designs? In OoT the first ever experiment in 3D?! Like there had not been a 3D zelda before that? Then they made one?
>it's pretty telling when the game gives you a horse to move faster and your feeling is, 'oh, thank god.'

just giving two examples of games that created a similar sensation in different ways. and yeah you're deffos right about the kids in Britain back then. but it's like how a lot of people say Wind Waker is this vast open world and it's exciting...but you won't get many people who defend 'secretly tho, you're watching a loading screen'. cool tricks aside, it's like those rooms in Castlevania Symphony of the Night while the CD loads (those wily devils).
have you ever seen vidrel? the whole time you were running around in OoT, the sky was just this box following you relative to the camera, creating an optical illusion. honestly that IS a cool trick, ngl.
>>
>>84360449
i intentionally DIDN'T warp around ALttP's Hyrule because i liked still playing the game, just charging through dudes with the Pegasus Boots. that EVEN led to finding new stuff.
you liked the OoT horse because it made traversal faster. instead of tedium, there was shorter-duration tedium. i completely agree, yeah.
>>
>>84360456
Wind Waker felt big at the time tho sort of like the water equivalent of the Lost Woods but in 2003 without Youtube and such it felt exciting I did have a strategy guide that mapped every square on the map. It is legit big but obviously its mostly water just like the real world.
>>84360465
Right but a link to the past being good doesnt make OoT bad its just different. Did you play it at the time? I feel like people trying to dethrone OoT is like salty because its viewed as superior to another game you think deserves it more. Sorry but OoT is better than Super Scrimbo Blimbo 3 or The Legend of JRPG Slop VIII or whatever hipster choice it just is!

I actually dont agree with that about Sonic and I love Sonic too but the 3D Sonic games have always been good (not all. Obviously. 06 sure). To me its the same as this
>The Phantom Menace came out and we didn't know it was the worst film ever made yet.
Except with Sonic it was like the day they came out. It was very forced imo. This isnt a retrospective opinion I felt this at the time.Everyone knows Sonic Adventure is epic 1 and 2. Ok theres still 2D at the same time.Sonic Rush. Sonic Advance. Sonic on Nokia N-Gage.......LOL kidding. But side note, Billy Hatcher an the Giant Egg was very fun ! Now heres where I would lose people but I dont know even know why, yeah its buggy but so what,I LOVED Sonic Heroes. So fun. So where does it get so terrible? Shadow? Spin off! Unleashed? No its good. Sooooo we start getting to Colours, Sonic Generations.....so thats a new console gen... I dont get the problem desu. I think zoomers appreciate those games more now. it's weird because it's stuff you've seen before but now it'll ALWAYS look like some high budget fan film.

It might be worth turning yourself into the menty elf clinic before you do something you later regret. Must be grim knowing you could get sparked by anyone, at any time, and in any place. I wouldn't know, i'm the one who does the sparking.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>84361292
What's it like having that confidence to just go anywhere anytime knowing that if anyone said a wrong word to you, you'd spark them out. What's it feel like to have the prowess of a boxer and the intelligence of a professor? I wish I were you, lad. Life is unjust.

Was visiting the local Helper's Hospice today for my voluntary work when you'd never guess who I bumped in to. Spark Frog. I asked if he was alright and he only mumbled something about sparking me out but he can't walk far or for very long nowadays and is a shadow of his former self. Poor lad was diagnosed with Chronic traumatic encephalopathy a few weeks back and it's progressed rapidly.
When I had tea with him he meekly said to me 'I used to spark out lads like you on the regular' before he started crying and begging to go back to the pond where he spawned and if there was a Little Chef open nearby. I didn't have the heart to tell him. Really broke my fucking heart seeing shell of a once noble lid. The videos of him taking on hundreds of wagies at a time outside of Feel Street Train Station were legendary.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>84361449
I had my differences with Sparkfrog but I never wanted to hear of a dedicated lid like him turning out this way. I'm not really surprised though, throwing out all those punches was always going to have an effect. You could see the recoil giving his head a wobble on the super slo-mo Sparkfrog sparkout compilation videos that used to do the rounds.

Mum knows somebody with SVT there's a procedure that you can have that cuts the odds of it happening by 95% as well as taking these tablets that effectively cures it. You are in hospital for one day. Why Dosnt Mark have the procedure done? Every time he has a SVT episode there's a very high chance of him having a heart attack.

lol good post. when people do this with genuine seethiness and sincerity behind it, i always read it in the voice of picrel.
was thinking of these comics yesterday because i saw a video that said the YouTube videos Something Awful made were voiced by a guy who did proper voiceovers in games, thought there was one Crossy mentioned but nah was thinking of A Hat in Time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuvfzOwU4xU
works better as a comic IMO but it's mad someone can do all the voices for an internet cartoon, then it's them who played the crow agents in AHiT (presumably for actual money as a literal job).

did you ever read that essay by one of the C developers about writing a compiler where you obfuscate code for something innocuous in the interpreter (say, printf(), it DOES printf, but it also does evil). but you ALSO add code to obfuscate the obfuscation.
then you compile the compiler with itself twice. so, as far as all future versions go, nobody can read the code and go 'oh no, it's doing evil', but it does it in secret, forever.

If you were conscious during the 2000s and remembered stuff like christcuck hysteria over le ebil satanic pokemans and christfaggotry more generally during the decade, nu-atheism would seem a lot more reasonable in that context. The correct take is that Christianity and atheism are both two sides of the same coin that is the desacralization of the earth. And that coin? It's minted by a Jew

of all the things i could have had a silly internet flame war with Crosslad about, it was that i do not find Ocarina of Time a particularly brilliant game. even though we 90% agree on the subject and everything surrounding it (Nintendo etc.)
mind you, how many kids now associating 'walking around inside a whale' with a computer game (Zelda) instead of real-life history (the Bible)?

Part of what makes it all so tiresome is the total lack of meaning of any of the words they say, it's purely just rhetorical flourish, they couldn't define any of it. You can listen to any sermon or preach or prayer delivered by anyone of any denomination and it will sound exactly like this:
>Lord, by Your grace and righteousness, we thank You for bringing us, in love, to Your Church, Your family, through the body of Christ. Bless us in Your victory, for You are the font of all goodness and peace. Make disciples of us and spread Your glory and joy, by the Holy Spirit, in divine light, so that You may judge us in Your perfect wisdom, oh Father.
Like it's just a jumble of nouns and adjectives, often used as verbs, recycled and repeated. It's very mantra-esque, like an Indian talking to a white woman online.
>Yes, very nce, you show boob, thank you yes, wow you are so beautiful, I want fuck, you love me yes, show boobs and vagene, wow so lovely...
No thought in it at all, it's religion by vibes.

>during the 2000s and remembered stuff like christcuck hysteria over le ebil satanic pokemans and christfaggotry more generally during the decade
do you actually remember that in any capacity in the UK? genuine question.
i remember it being a kooky internet/American thing, the same way Jack Thompson was trying to ban video games (i know we had Mary Whitehouse, but that was already old-fashioned and before my time).
there was a big pro-atheism kick in the British media, but headlines like 'CHURCH CALLS FOR BAN OF HARRY POTTER BOOKS' were always just tabloid fluff.

>The correct take is that Christianity and atheism are both two sides of the same coin that is the desacralization of the earth. And that coin? It's minted by a Jew
The "correct take" is whatever Christ says not you.
Yes Christ "kingdom is not of this world"(John 18:36) However the Jews were expecting messiah to be a physical mortal earthly king so actually you are in kinship with them against the more spiritual shape.... of how things turned out to be an I dont even get what this goofy ahh Disney film script is meant to be the "sacralization of the earth" Lol but when Jesus comes back the Earth and the entire universe will be regenerated to its perfect state. The sad thing is you think this world is all there ever will be which is why you cling on to it with all its Death and misery and "sacralise" a tree bc its the only miserable place you can ever imagine being. Youre looking at the creation an worshipping a creation it never occurs to you theres a creator. Strange?
Look into the Shroud of Turin. There is a physical earthly artefact for you. If u cant put 2 and 2 together and you still want to built a shrine to Fern Gully. This isnt a joke lad life isnt long enough for you to play around with eternity.

>Firstly, the assumption that the Fire Temple music simply sounds like an Islamic prayer is pretty much spot on.
that's the gist of it. tbqh i think Nintendo were always a bit overzealous with their 'no religion' rule. like how the original Zelda had the 'magic book' with a cross on it.
always made me lol in Chrono Trigger where they all have a party and drink magical caveman juice that gives them a hangover. you can FEEL Ted Woolsey going, 'don't worry Nintendo, at NO POINT did i claim it was alc*hol.'

yeah it's weird seeing the same names when you check these places. but i guess it's like if you moved from your hometown then went back, you'd bump into SOMEONE.
i jumped through some insane hoops just the other day to make a YouTube account (betraying all of my principles) because some guy had recently uploaded a retrospective of this indie game he'd been making in the mid-2000s. just gave him a quick hi, said i remembered how cool it was.
sadly there's some 'modern internet' stuff that has crept in. if you remember Zelda Classic, they were kind of their own thing but a really chill community. basically they made a Zelda 1 remake in 1999 and it's still being developed to this day. made in such a way where you can add your own graphics/scripts and people have made entire new quests/games.
obvs Nintendo gets pissed off at fan games now, so there was a split in the ZC community (classic /a/-/jp/ style). the two 'sides' were quirky zoomers who wanted to add more modern Zelda features and MAKE MONEY from OTHER PEOPLE'S QUESTS (o__o), and then the old guard who declared 'no it should just be a free Zelda 1 clone but made really well.'
to be fair, the youngsters were more actively programming for it which is lovely. but one of them was transgender and the old fogies said 'he' instead of 'she' and so that means the zoomers win by default.
