Rarely does western furry art interest me. I do think styles blending western furry and kemono are visually appealing though.

You're not a real furfag, I know that already

I think I'm just bitter than very talented people like Tamanosuke get overshadowed by mid western furry artists in the mainstream

YAAAAAWWWN. Like yeah sure he's a skilled artist but if you're just drawing the same old tired generic fanart and coomer art then who cares literally. This isn't even impressive, you just think it is because he sometimes draws traditionally, which every artist can do btw. People just draw digitally because they like it and its the norm now. Also off-model fanart is trendy and lazy. I will never respect a single artist that draws it

I hate that you're right in a sense. The art is visually appealing and beautiful but there's not much "range" to it. That's pretty much the norm for any artist that delves more into the erotic side of fanart; their dick tunnelvisions them into rigid, specific scenarios. I suppose than can be off-putting for some.

I do however think traditional art takes more skill as in there's no real shortcut to making intricate patterns with brushes, plus there's much less room for mistakes. If very talking about tedious art mediums, oil paintings are some of the hardest because you literally have to watch paint dry.

Traditional art does take more skill but only because of color theory (and high tier anatomy/perspective knowledge but still). That's what really seperates a skilled artist from everyone else. Drawing traditionally itself is about equal. Also there's nothing wrong with getting a lot of twidder likes for drawing simple things. Twitter is not an art website, there are just a lot of toon fans on twitter so toon art gets a lot of likes.
