140 IQ is peak midwit tier
Officially tested at 140IQ and I am a midwit. If I had 10 more IQ points I could be a Quant at Jane Street making 500k, and if I had 10 less IQ points I would have had the same outcome (albeit with slightly more studying) and been significantly less autistic.

Instead I am stuck doing electrical engineering at a barely T100 uni here in the US. I will probably land a mid tier electrical engineering job after I graduate making 90k, and will struggle to afford a house and kids.

Meanwhile the 120iq finance fratbro will land a wallstreet job at his daddys firm making 250k a year and the 160iq asian nerd will land a 500k quant job. The 80iq stacy will make 1m a year from her onlyfans or sugar daddy.

I know multiple people who are 150-160IQ, and they are on a different level. It took me several months to reach Expert on codeforces but these niggas got to that level almost immediately, and ended up at CM/Master within a similar timeframe. You can't compete against them.

For anyone in an actual STEM field (No biology or other women tier 'STEM'), 140IQ is midwit tier. You need 150+IQ to truly make it. It is a sad world.

120 is the minimum I.Q. for a surgeon in the U.S.
Baseline minimum entry level
It starts at 120 and goes up
They do not screen for it per se, but it naturally filters into that screening from the rigorous testing protocols that weed out the lesser intellects with less information memorization and retrieval abilities.
Its a real statistic.

i don't think a single number you score at a one time test that doesn't even analyze your brain function on a biological level can summarize how good all of your brain parts with all their different functions work as a single unit and even if that was the case, there'd be still differences in how developed each part of your brain is resulting in unique ways of thinking meaning that how fast you learn smth will always depend on what exactly you're trying to learn and how that works with the proportions of your brain...
but even if that was irrelevant, your past experiences and the knowledge you already accumulated would change your perspective on any topic beyond just learning at a faster/slower pace anyway

t.ired ass mfer, don't quote me on anything

ps:
>if I had 10 less IQ points
aka if i had missed my cup of coffee on test day or some shit liek that

you can be a le janestreet quant with 120 IQ
you need sufficient intelligence but it's a lot more about consistency, qualifications, interview/people skills, and of course nepotism helms
but yeah you aint gettin into jane with your T100 EE degree lol
it's fucking gay there anyway trust me bro

You're a retard, I know plenty of surgeons with average intelligence. Being a doctor is more about hard work and sacrifice than innate intellect, especially surgery. (Not saying theyre less smart, just that their job is fucking awful and they sacrifice happiness for their career)

Having to deal with corporation faggotry is well worth the 600k+ per year.

The highest average I.Q. by profession is Doctor with an average I.Q. of 130
There are no known post doctorate surgeons practicing medicine in the United States of America with a tested, measured I.Q. less than 120.
GATTACA
GATTACA
GATTACA

That being said, nursing school seems to be passable, and practicing doctors who perhaps do family medicine, or a specialized practice like joints, eyes ears nose throat, would get by with a lesser I.Q., but surely not below the 100ish average mark and only in rare cases of memorization, but perhaps a processing data disability.
They would simply refer you to an actual surgeon for actual repairs. They only prescribe medicine and order tests.

The demand for data memorization and retrieval in that career field is too high and intensive for any less rapid torque and horsepower....

I'm talking to OP, who cannot get that job. If the only appeal is $$$, there are many ways to do that. And that's my point, it's the only appeal.

If you had 10 fewer IQ points, you would barely be above a literal bot's IQ. And that bot is already higher IQ than 96% of humanity. I think you're getting into the right general area of work. In a decade's time, those 150+IQ geniuses will be automated by 400IQ bots. "If you can't beat them join them" as they say.

We just need 1 discovery, 1 idea, one contribution of ingenuity per person.
No matter how small (details are where it gets interesting after all, especially once they all start to come together like lil puzzle pieces)
Most people are still dealing with unclean drinking water, pollution, war, uneducation, unemployment, homelessness, disease, corruption, exploitation, food to be able to get into a position to even begin to kick in an idea into the hat. Ever.
I would not have it fucking so.

even the low iq people will have no effort making money due to assistentialism, the world is literally becoming idiocracy.

and don`t be too optmistic about your career buddy, because you will probably be replaced by an indian with hb1 visa that gonna get less than half of your salary and doing as much as you.

That's called capitalism, you dirty commie bastard!

Nobody hates competition, free markets, freedom of choice, informed customers, customer rights and quality standards more than capitalists. The means to maximize profit, is to remove or sabotage competition. Make competition unaffordable or unreachable compared to your own product. Fund smear campaigns against competitors. Cut the most corners possible. Use the cheapest parts and the cheapest labor possible. Get as many people addicted to your product as possible. Ensure any "problem" your product "fixes" remains for as long as possible. Bribe law makers to remove your own regulations, force your product allthewhile imposing stiffer regulations on competitors. Buy the laws, become the law.
