This reminds me of how anything can be made real on Wikipedia. Article or Wikipedia page publishes false claim, then retracts after dozens or hundreds of other articles repeat the claim. Now it’s part of Redditor type people’s reality forever and ever

The primary author, Gideon Koren, is an Israeli citizen, for anyone who didn't just assume already. Can't find any details on the co-author Michael Rieder yet.
Multiple researchers have based multi-year, multimillion dollar research projects on some of these fake case studies, trying to understand causal links behind the shit being claimed in them; like mothers supposedly passing opioid addictions through breast milk. So much time, effort, money, and manpower wasted because these two fucks couldn't be bothered to look for *actual* case studies and wanted to fill the journal with sensationalist lies instead.
