Repole, correctly, figured out that using the smaller soccer fields makes the audience look much bigger and the games have more energy. One of my old high school classmates played several years in the CFL.

Nobody worth their weight wants to entertain playing in a spring league because of the risk of getting hurt and ruining your chances at signing with a CFL or NFL team.

It's safer and more cost effective to rest/train all off-season and shoot your shot at a CFL/NFL team (and make the practice roster), than to get fucked up in the UFL and ruin everything.

This is why spring leagues always fail and have shit players btw. It's not fringe-level NFL players. It's DUMB rejects throwing caution to the wind.
