Post-Olympics blues is a real phenomenon and we all know why. People don't want to admit it, but the idea of the whole world getting along without all the baggage and bullshit of the past clearly has its appeal. We keep doing this shit every 4 years just for that sense of escapism and false civility, even if it only lasts 2 weeks at a time.
