Every major football code was made in a Common Law country.
Meanwhile Civil Law nations may go as far as going "yeah, this really does resemble a game we had... Calcio or something" but just follow the code codified in England.

>tennis
>badminton
>boxing
All of these (and more) were codified in Anglophone nations. Is the rest of the world even trying???

This requires an autistically pedantic people.
Other people, simply not that bothered and why would you even want to spoil your neighbour's game. Can't have fun just because he uses wacky rules? Eventually went with ifab because, metaphorically speaking and at times literally, bongs were that kid in the playground that started crying and took their ball home if others didn't "respect" him or his flawed rules. Relax, it's just a game.

civil law = what government decides is right is right

common law comes from the Germanic world, civil law from the Roman worl
