Decided to give sora a look at the app level today and I see a Characters section. How much consistency does that have? How does it work perse? I know tech priestess poster is using it, but is the tech priestess set up as a character?

Well, I guess that gives me a deadline to finally finish this arc of the story so we don't get a surprise mid-chapter art style shift like last time they changed Sora. A shame, I was just starting to really get the hang of the current version. I wonder if the new version will be any good, or if it's time to finally migrate to Grok or Nano Banana Pro.

>>97625162
I've been using the older version of the Sora interface that's apparently getting cancelled next month, and that doesn't have the characters feature, so I can't say how well it works.
>>
>>97625405
There is no "new" version. They are sunsetting image generation entirely and focusing exclusively on their horrible video service. ChatGPT will be the only option for image generation moving forward.
>>
>>97625469
Oh well, so much for my OpenAI subscription. ChatGPT is all but useless as an image generation interface, since it lacks the option to set a custom style preset.

I guess Higgsfield will be my new home. A bit expensive, but they seem to aggregate a number of different premium models together.

I too have some, but have no actual idea for pics.
As for the current situation, there is going to be a turmoil.
> Relatives of the fallen rangers demand to receive remains of the dead for a proper burial rights
> The administration won't be able to do so, because they have no remains.
> This causes outrage, which would become even greater if people learn about the prime suspect of the corpses' disappearance.
As you can see there's also other reason for them to prepare their contingency. Someone will have to pay.

Two NPCs from my DnD game. Emfrid the wood elf lövjerska (lit. The whole thing is still in my old mega, if you're interested.

Unfortunately, Bing has become even more difficult sometimes with the heavy moderation. The old DALL3 engine has dropped in quality. The newer GPT4 engine is better, but slower, can only get 1 image at a time, and still the same overzealous moderation.
Perchance can be better quality, with more text and negative prompts, but is prone to hallucinations and small image size. With good text description you can get some usable stuff out of it, so I use it for character portraits and the like.
I'm still experimenting with Grok.
>>
>>
>>97635339
I wish DALLE will eventually get an update.
>>
>>97635339
I will download it all to go over and archive once I get out of work. Sadly I have stopped using dalle a long time ago and moved to perchance full time. but the dev of that has now done some things and the image gen is worse quality than it was and the chatbots are very moderated on things and even a simple word can get the bots to act odd. Ive had the narrator and system even start shit talking me over telling it this is my story that I am trying to write. so whatever the dev of perchance has done or is doing is not going as well as I would hope and for quite a few others. Even in the discord the dev avoids being in people are starting be a bit more vocal about some of these changes.
seems all ai sites lean toward heavy moderated because of a few people not being right about it. sadly so it goes. So I dont really do much with ai these days and lack of time anyways.

I was listening to a news podcast about music gen after that country song topped the charts recently. I think it was New York times? Anyway, they had their music critic/reporter use Suno for a month straight to judge the tech.
At the end he figures it won't change the charts very much, but not cause it's going to replace top talent. It's going to eliminate the casual listener. The regular people who don't care what they're listening to so long as it's generally ok in their taste, and AI hits that note perfectly. He even admitted he'd probably keep using it cause it gives him what he wants.

Very good way to explain how I feel about AI image gen in fact.
>>
>>97636651
>>97634881

Not to be "viral marketing guy", but the Luna Lounge has you tube and spotify channels, and makes AI generated "Space Jazz" meant to invoke the music being played in rundown starport bars.

Fixed that for you. But yeah I completely agree with you, and that's basically what I was saying and repeating from that journo. It's not that great new music is going to be replaced, far from it. It's that 99% of people 95% of the time don't want to listen to great music, they want pleasant noise.

Being ejected from the city was a sad affair for most of the bray's. Even though it was evident they didn't want to leave, few elves spoke to their character and those that did were ignored. The elves who were closest to them recognized some were anxious or even afraid but they did as they were told and did leave. The last of them entered the forest outside the east gate quietly that evening.

The next day, Svetsa returned to the gates with many of the displaced. She directed them to make buildings just a few hundred meters from the guards in an attempt to show they too could build things. But their skills were far from adequate. Most of these brays had been doing light work to help as they learned city life. They'd worked with seamstresses, bakers, herbalists, or just sorted books at the library. They didn't know heavy labor. That afternoon, a strong but quick thunderstorm blew in, lasting only a few hours before blowing out, but Svetsa made sure to stand in view of the guards and few elves who came to look from past the walls.

>Where is the beast!? You deceived me with empty promises of man flesh in the fields and now he is here but missing? How can it hide?!
Kastrerande holds Senna forcibly against the tree as she screams at her.
>Answer!
Unable to breathe she wheezes out unintelligible sounds before falling unconscious. Kastrerande snarls and throws her down before galloping off, the Bleeding Rose herd following quickly behind, silent as always.

As Ilska approaches, Senna stays on her knees as she slowly catches her breathe. Her lilting elven voice is hoarse and strained as she speaks to her beastlord.
>We... need help from... the mages.
Another pause for a few breathes while she slowly points to where her assailant went.
>And she must be given a task.
Ilska's voice is a mix of roaring flame and cracking branches, but spoken calmly.
>Yes. Tell her the man things up north enter the forest again for now. I will think on asking your kin.

The tension in the town was palpable, a coil tightening with each passing hour. A significant number of the rangers were local, and their families were now demanding that the town government release the remains of their fallen loved ones for proper burial rites. However, the Lord Magistrate remained hidden, neither appearing before the townsfolk nor issuing any official decree. The people grew restless, their patience wearing thin as they demanded answers, or better yet, action.
The governor understood that revealing the truth – that the remains were never recovered – would ignite outrage. Mentioning the possible perpetrator behind the bodies' disappearance would only fuel the flames. To appease the populace, he knew he had to prove the werewolf was dead. With this grim realization, he summoned the Dean of the academy. He explained the dire situation, emphasizing that the magisters, in addition to having a contingency plan ready, would also be tasked with tracking the creature.

Meanwhile, Captain Sunblaze entered the academy's library. This time, his visit wasn't to meet his sister. Armed with an official permit from the Magistrate, he intended to learn every conceivable method for dealing with Fae creatures. The werewolf, at this point, was a secondary concern; he already possessed a few tricks for handling it. But if they were to face a forest spirit, he knew he and his soldiers had to be prepared.

Howler awoke deep in the forest. The scent of damp earth and moss hung heavy in the air, indicating recent rain, though he couldn't recall if it had been yesterday. In fact, he couldn't remember anything from the past few days. The last thing he could recall was an explosion in the camp and encountering archers during a fight. He remembered the slow poison of their silver arrowheads coursing through his body, their blades slicing his thick mane and skin, but nothing beyond that. It felt as if he had spent that time trapped in an inescapable dream. Even stranger, he found no wounds on his body, and his blood was no longer tainted with silver. But the surprises didn't end there. He realized that by now, he should have reverted to human form, or at least be starting to. Yet, it wasn't happening. Was he stuck in this form?

As he struggled to piece together fragments of his memory, he realized he needed to check on his troopers. Perhaps not all of them had perished? But where was he? There was no familiar scent in the air; he couldn't navigate using his animal instincts. He needed to figure out his location, then find his way back to the camp to discover what had become of his men.
