>Caught my retarded fucking apprentice stealing away tomes on lichdom from my library because being an elder dusk wight wasn't mainstream enough for him. His thoughts that I extracted from the deepest recesses of his mind, not mine!
>As I'm going through his orbnet after banishing him to the whispering sands for a century I find out there's a whole orbchat group of rebellious sub 100 year old apprentices.
>They're all whining that their masters and misstresses have laid out unorthodox paths to immortality for them and that they won't be able to make boner or vampire jokes.
Can you believe it? Some of them even complain about the yearly soul flaying festivals! Apparently they're an "abomination to the natural order that even dark magic should abhor". Apprentices nowadays are too steeped in mortal ethics.
Check your apprentice's orbtexts right now! If you find acronyms like "FTG", fuck the ghosts, "IHM", I hate mummies, "DSC", demons suck cock, they might have been influenced by this worrying new trend. Set your apprentices straight before they run off to join some vampire clan.

Acolytes have been pulling shit like this since the Seventh Revelation anon, nothing new. Do you remember the shit you got up to as a novice?
Just banish him to live with the ghouls for a year or two, should straighten him out. Might even learn something from them kek.

please thats nothing
when i still had my flesh we would whip the backs of our slave goblins for failing to carry our spells and tomes properly
now i had to double check but several of my so called "dark apprentices" are fucking them
one is even dating OPENLY
the dark lands have truly fallen

bah, the ghouls were better back in the old days now i wouldnt be surprised if they're feeding them more than just the rotten flesh of failed subjects the pansys

>It hasn't switched to an amalgamated construct Intelligence
We got rid of our apprentice a century ago. The Amalgam might perhaps inscribe spells which do nothing or worse, something, but at least it will never ask to know the dark secrets of our twisted existence.

Back before I donned the eternal shroud we had respect for our masters and if they didn't have us slaughter our remaining ties to mortality before throwing them in the nexus of identity recycling we would even let them ascend past this plane without interference. It might be hard to believe but 1/3 of all dark masters in my 200s didn't have to face a single betrayal or assassination attempt from their apprentice. You might think this is the fault of the seventh revelation but the time cannibals of the empty isle starting their feast of that historical event has done nothing to improve the moral fabric of our apprentices.

hmph, weak
whats the point of being a dark master if you dont inspire fear in your apprentices
when i was still a lad we lost a rival every week or so when they slip up
not only was it good for turn over but it meant we had no shortage of test subjects for extra credit

You DID put a geas on the lich tomes to make the apprentice memorize the entire series by heart? There is some good material in them, but the writing is so dry and boring that it should also serve as a fitting punishment for the brat.

Amalgamated """Intelligence"""
Uh uh, I know that one. The moment you exhibit the slightest lack of vigilance, it's gonna use some loophol in logic you forgot and turn the entire spell into a continental disaster.
No, thanks. I'll take evil genies over those any day.

Fool! Talk like that is why the heavenly host managed to breach the netherworld edifice and purify nearly 80% of the old masters. Even the breach wouldn't have been as disastrous as it was were it not for Zalfan the Cruel and Korlis the arch succubus using it as an opportunity to settle several petty vendettas. We lost Kova, the inventor of the reproducing ghoul plague wasps, because Zalfan was still bitter about Kova being seated next to the darkest lord several millenia ago. Don't even try to say that Kova was weak and Zalfan strong, he died the very next day when he thought his paltry magic better than a orichalcum plated paladin. Zalfan was nothing without the fusion ritual nearly annihilating Kova from the timeline.

Come back when your master has deigned to teach you the secrets of name presence proliferation.

Eh I tried the golem minion approach for a couple Turns of the Moon but it just doesn't hit the same. Granted my knowledge of the Dark Art of Soulbinding is sorely lacking these days but they always turn out boring as shit. What the fuck is the point of a minion if they can't join your evil cackles?
Give me a good old treacherous acolyte any day of the week.

>tfw I scried a qt vampire goth chick moving into castle Heilstatt in the Forest of Woes not far from my dungeon
>send a ghoul to propose an alliance
>some DICKHEAD adventurers intercept it
>STEAL the +2 dagger of life drain I sent as a gift too
>decide to visit her myself, hoping I can find these THIEVES on the way
>put on my finest robes and carry a sick +3 staff of enhanced necromancy
>take a fancy escort of armored skeletons

>finally standing in front of her
>spill my guts (literary)
>"uhm so yeah uhm I was like reading the grimoire of Saliander and comparing it to Volkhausers History of the Elven Druids vol. 3 to find possible links between the lore of nature and the lore of death to create new spells and uhm maybe you want to join me so we could create a blood sucking lycanthrope or something haha"
>she smiles saying she would love to and that she will send a bat with the details for our meeting after she finished her preparations (she wont)

This is why I dont leave my tomb anymore.

I tire of your thoughtless ilk and your drive to kill what life still clings to this board.

Zalfan was a genius ahead of his time you cur! i would have traded my crystal eye to be trained by the dark wizard who created fire demon binding
who needs undead insects to spread the ghoul curse when we can create demons bound to the blackened bones of the dead to serve our front lines instead during slave raids
and Kova would have melted even quicker in front of that holy bastard then Zalfan did
The old masters who were purified were weak and their spells middling
Besides why should we listen to those fools who passed to the dark realm when we can favor those wise enough to bind their souls to this world instead
arch-lichdom is the path of greater minds
why i still have my old master lying about the place somewhere, the old days when we carried the skeletal heads of true masters into battle was when those virginal fools of the order would stain their white robes yellow with fear

Must be """""celestial""""", those faggots love to meddle with anything and everything that doesn't align to their highly-specific vision of how the universe should be run, up to and including deployment of potentially universe-ending weapons the moment they get a slap on the wrist befitting higher beings they claim to be.
Really, their only use is a lesson in what should not be allowed and what the consequences are if left unchecked.

New to this astral constellation, whats an orbnet? The guild of alchemists I founded turned against me and sealed me away for about 1600 years (they couldn't destroy me, lol) and now I'm out. I'm catching up on what I've missed, and now there are these aetheric channels *everywhere*. Turns out you can talk to each other on these things? Pretty neat idea, I have to admit.
