Figma, blokees or any of the 100 others are better than the dogshit shf. Chinks are also making one that mogs the shit out of the shf. The shf is the worst figure of her ever made.

The Figuarts is really good, made to be really articulated though so it sacrifices a smooth look on the torso, but you always use the head on a blank buck as Chinese are making the Eva school uniforms. Blokees is xbox hueg and the faces and articulation are weak compared with shf, but it looks really great for a budget figure, could also potentially headswap. The figma is showing its’ age, has floating tits, plus it’s not the plugsuit everybody wants for her. Has good head and faces though.

I preordered the new one from SH Figuarts. Asuka is one of the only characters who I'd pay $100 to get a 1/12 action figure of because she was my first anime waifu when I was still but a chemically imbalanced teenager.

The Blokees look nice, but like you've noticed they're way too tall for 1/12 lines. They also have the bodies of milf cosplayers rather than the characters. The 30MP model may be a good alternative to the SHF if you've got the patience for kits since it's not too much taller and they're also coming out with an Asuka.

It only takes like an hour or so to build, a little bit more if youre doing cleanup.

I’ll just repaint Rei to be Yui. Technically one could do custom hair for the blokee Asuka and turn her into Kyoko based on the non-h alt universe manga where she’s still alive and never went crazy (she just gets engrossed with her work too easily)
