I like the Venom being that big. Peni was a surprise. It looks like it will come with a small female figure?

Thanks for making a proper general, anon. The one I made was kind of ass for a first Blokees general lol.

I think that's the protype.
Like the Megaman figures they exhibited? I think the female figure will be exclusive to North America and when you order these in China, you don't get it?
Or are these also still pre-order only even in the Far East? Because I thought I saw they were shipping them when I went to Ali Express last night to order some more stuff.
>>
>>
>>
>>11713661
Yeah, I think it was confirmed by Blokees themselves. They probably wouldn't have the prototype for her alongside a finished SP//DER anyway. You can also see with the finish that it's unpainted bare plastic (most likely ABS or PS) comared to the obvious painted resin the Megaman prototypes are made out of.
>>
>>
>>11713946
it'll take a while before Blokees has good distribution in the west. You're gonna have to order them online. one piece of advice, you probably dont want to buy blind boxes in store in person. people have no discipline or any self-respect, and they do open boxes or weigh things. especially scalpers

I just ordered the entire case of the Galaxy Wave 5, Spider-Man, from Ali Express - just to get the Venom, Ham and SM for certain. I hope that since it's an entire case, it isn't pancaked like the previous single Champion Class I ordered two weeks ago.
THIS arrived in the mail but now I'm not as excited to build it and will wait. I'm still trying to order a Champion Class Superman to build, and am checking out a new site in Canada.
Fucking Uni Uni. The KO Lego sets arrived safely but those were only a few bucks each. I'm actually going to build one later today if it storms the way it's supposed to, and find out if it's the right number of pieces and if it they actually line up and connect!
>>
>>
>>
>>11714838
You mean Venom and Spider-Man? They've had those for a few days. The Infinity wave they had for a while and have sold out of most of 'em.
I do think BBTS (or is it Entertainment Earth?) are the only place so far to offer those Batmen Defenders?
>>
>>11713681
>wouldn't have the prototype
I was confused because all the official stock photos from their Facebook page all say 'pending licensor approval' - which I know from my friend into Megaman is on all those. So I made that assumption. But that seems pointless.
Who would want to display an unpainted figure?
>>
>>11714838 >>11714910
Sorry, yeah, I saw the pre-order email from BBTS just now, you meant Peni and Rocket!
Rocket has been up in a few places, eBay sellers have had him for a while. Peni is definitely new.

Blokees has been doing actual model kits for years though, just because you aren't aware of it doesn't change that. Their Pokemon/Miku/Eva pilots are the exceptions, not the norm. Even some of their blind box have a few parts on runners.

First timer, swiped 6 boxes of 9 Gal6's. I really wanted one Optimus and anything else was whatever, pulled him first box which isn't bad for 1/12 (though I'm not sure how true those rates are).
Really like the look of the DP+Wolverine - Wolverine, that and other 'Action' figures have me curious. (Strawberry Miku looks pretty cool).
Any Action owners ITT can give a rough comparison to a SH figma or something like that?

Wouldn't know personally, but the reddit sub is where all the Transformer Blokees people hang out. I know that 4chan is supposed to hate everything reddit, but the toy subs there aren't full of as many assholes or as much politics and bullshit as people are here.
PLUS it's way easier to block people.

Question for anyone who owns the Blokees Tarn or Yolopark one, but how poseable is this cute blue nugget?
>>
>>11713644
>>11713654
With how we get options for Star Force being able to be his first version and Star Force 3 version in a single package, on top of announcing a Mega Man Zero design, I just wish they make the Four Guardians. We never got them as articulate figures except through garage kits. People could ask a lot for all four of them, not much Fefnir but still everyone. And more people would beg to see ZX as well just for a Pandora.
>>
>>
>>11716897
I don't own it but from reviews I've seen her articulation seems to be basically identical to the first few waves of their Galaxy class kits with one difference. So ball joints in head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and a waist swivel.. The odd bit is her feet because they're wheels but the dust trail effect acts as proper feet so she kind of has wiggly ankle tilts instead of the usual ball joints there.
>>
>>
>>11717319
Thanks, that gives me a good idea. I was wondering how possible she would be considering how round she is. I like the addition of the trail effect, something I think the Yolopark one shouldve gotten.
do the wheels spin tho? it would be fun to roll her around.

>I like the Venom being that big.
That's actually why I ordered the Venom.
It will be my first one ever since I have a no-villains policy for any shit Marvel, otherwise I would go down a different rabbit hole than I am already with flushing my money down a plastic crack hole.
I used to be a Spider-Man only Marvel guy even though there's plenty of people I like and the X-Men were actually my first love BEFORE fucking Spider-Man but that was like loving a football team but not caring about any one particular attacker or defender, or even wanting a fig of a keeper.
But that Venom, that was an easy YES, in fact it's the only pre-order I've done since 2024, since I have come to hate that fucking scammy shit.
I'm sure if I waited like everything else I ever waited on for the past two years, I would get it and pay fucking less, or not regret missing out.

I assume if they did Peni, yes. They definitely do females.
And I bet both Marvel and Netease are actually involved in some of this. No clue how big the game is in the Far East but that probably determines why some characters have released first.
I also imagine the characters that can be fun as model kits (e.g. Peni, Venom, Rocket) are getting prioritized to get people interested and addicted?
>>
Every time I look at their logo, I just think of Nickelodeon. I don't like it, not befitting of a model kit maker.
That said, I keep seeing their Miku kits and some Transformers every now and then, I'm tempted to get one.

>>11719574
I'm the guy he's responding too, and funny enough the blockees kits I'm talking about were at a mall I go to. Granted it's an hour away from me and pass some deader malls, but some of them are still alive and still have the mall rats of yore.
>>
>>11719894
That plastic looks really good quality. I just received some older Funko, that 'pets' blind box series they made, but identified, that were probably overpriced, but they are a gift for my niece. I didn't realize how small they were, and they don't look as shitty and souless as Pop.
Maybe they just used better plastic in 2018 but I didn't feel uncomfortable giving these to a small kid because they feel like such hard, sturdy plastic, instead of some empty cheap thing that would crack and make her gums bleeds if she stuck it her mouth or did some stupid thing kids are likely to do.

Never played Rivals at all but I've been imagining any kind of sp//dr model kit for a while. Kinda cool it finally exists.
>>11718487
>>11719123
And I also know which girl I want to see them make one day.
>>
>>
>>11720014
I wish the Bombastic Bag Man from the game was more like the old, original (Fantastic Four) suited figure, but at that point, these come more like the Infinity War Champion Class model kits instead of these Rivals.
I guess I'll have to wait for a future Galaxy box but since they aren't selling those in North America legally, I'll have to buy another fucking case from Ali Express and wait for it to show up fucked up or misdelivered.

>closer to LEGO than to the unpainted model kits
>already are painted in the trays and out of the package.
That describes Gunpla and those still sometimes come with single-colored pilots who are the only part you're really expected to paint at all.
I don't have a reason to assume Blockees isn't aiming for that with their SP//DR kit.
>>
>>11721061
What is gunpla. My phone keeps wanting to autocorrect to gunplay so apparently iPhones, which are big in Japan, aren't full of users typing the that often.
I know what hexa gear is from my older brother but those are pretty one colored or Duo Tones. Blokee seems to have more
>>
>>11719894
are these blind boxes? im pretty interested in them. theyre quite cute
>>11721086
gunpla = GUNdam PLAstic model kits. the term gunpla is from japan BUT they dont spell in roman characters like this. model kits these days are pretty advanced. theyre no completely one colour of plastic anymore and most brands try to have colour separations.
im thinking Blokees's logic here is that Penni is included simply as a bonus like a pilot in most plamo. There's no point for them to paint her since it's not a figurine and if they were gonna do colour separation for her, it would better to engineer that on an actual Penni articulated model kit which is probably coming anyway

>>
>>11721209
A brand of plastic model kits by Bandai based on the Gundam anime franchise, thus the majority of the kits are based on mechas.
They kinda started things like sprues being color-separated, and kits being able to be snapped together instead of requiring things like glue. A lot of mecha model kits followed suit. They're notable as being seen as "baby's first model kits", but are still made with the expectation that the buyer will paint and modify them like the big boy boomer kits of yore.
Those are the type of kits Blockees' Marvel Rivals line seem to occupy like the Evangelion ones they did. Maybe a bit more casual than the stuff Bandai makes. Painting Peni seems like a big ask for the usual Blockees affair but like the other anon said, I guess it's because she's a bonus.
I do wanna see how they'll do other western mechs in the future, or if they'll do other Marvel humans.
>>11721209
>theyre no completely one colour of plastic anymore and most brands try to have colour separations.
They still exist, but they're mainly military model kits or based on cars, which are the kits I thought they were referring to.
>>
>>11721323
their ultraman kaiju stuff looks cool. a bit stylised but I think the newer ones aim for realism. might scale well with SHF ultraman figures
>>11721333
sweet! also, is it just me or does the yellow miku seem bigger than the pink one? i understand that some newer miku like the snow/magic miku are straight up figures rather than disassembled pseudo kits

anyways I replaced the upper torso joint on Rivals Venom and got him an extra 5mm in height.

>>11724670
if play marvel rivals, this will be the only venom that fills that void right now. mess toys will likely never make this version of him because they will never have a mold for it. it's pretty good and you do get the whole extra tendrils and the only thing i can only really complain about is the lack of fists which is annoying imo but I guess he's not really a puncher in the game. it's a really great base for modifications since its a model kit and the plastic is just perfect for it. I also added 1mm in his thigh connector, might add another layer
>>
>>11725074
I just pre-ordered him from GameStop since they didn't mark him up like the do the other store and when he arrived and I have to pay, I can get the $5 off.
I'm hoping they get the older Champion Class stock in to buy in stores.

Some malls might be busy but not for shopping.
Most are dead, grandpa.
>>
>>11725324
malls in my city are dead too. people only go there to buy computers or phones since that's usually where a major brand store would open up shop. or just food. buying toys and games in a mall in my city is a complete waste of time because they never have anything new and they jack the price up by 3x to 5x
>>
>>11725543
People go to hang out, and walk around.
I went to one yesterday, for the GameStop, since those assholes are closing all the free-standing stores and that was one of the few stores near me that carried action figures and collectibles, that wasn't a one hour, freeway drive away from my part of the metro area. I had a shopping bag on me, but I was one of the few people that obviously did any shopping, since I hit the clearance basement area of one store and had some shit to return to another. But even with the grandpas and grandmas getting their steps in and moms and pops walking brats and strollers, it was easy to move around and the food court was dead.
>>
My galaxy class case arrived looking like a fat girl kept cuddling it for for emotional support. The only boxes that won't have some crush will be, possibly, one or two in the center if it's 3x4 rows.
And it matters because I only wanted to keep 3 of the 9. Oh well, type to go get raped by ebay, and for customers who probably don't care to write me and beg for a damage 'discount '
>>
>>
>>11725946
It's been on Ali Express for weeks now but I have already gotten 3 fucked up boxes from them in a row that I am not up to giving them another chance.
Forget where, but one or two online stores in the USA had her for preorder and since they are now officially available to sell, it will be at Entertainmeny Earth, BBTS, etc. as well.
