Reviews and news about GSC/MF products by Kahotan

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads (if they ever comeback), My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

Here's a link to the buyfag guide list of shops:

If you're getting into the hobby, there's plenty of other useful information to find on the wiki.

In case someone is interested in the printable backdrops/dioramas & other papercraft stuff that Max Factory have in the download section of their site:

here is a back up, Enjoy!

Short illustrated posing guide by Max Factory
>http://ameblo.jp/figma/entry-11564427757.html (in moonrunes)
The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

Tomytec's 1 inch scale section (1/12 stuff, little armory, vehicles and others)

For 3rd party accesories/diorama pieces just look for 1/12 stuff (for other scales just ask in the thread)

Not who you were replying to but it is kind of retarded to count things like dresses and figmaplus in your calculation when obviously those people were talking about regular articulated figma figures
>>
>>11714227

Figma vs SHF is basically a master class on how simple, elegant design beats over-complicated design.
>>
>>11714392
And also reissues.
>>
>>11714210
Figma is not what it used to be.
>>
>>11714406
Figma and Snail Shell tend to do exactly that. Again with 9S shf why give it an hideous ab crunch cut if he won't be able to ab crunch? Why fuck shf momo up if she won't be able to articulate? Shf looks cheap as fuck on top of it. Seamlines and glossy unfinished plastic in current generation of toys are unvorgivable and the QC they bring to the table is insultingly bad.

Figma Nier figures alone are better than anything shf ever made and I say that as someone who collects both lines. The only thing shf has over figma are licenses but honeslty the hxh and beeserk shfs were so shit I might rather wait for updated figmas or revos

>>11714411
I started with an estimate of 150 Figma just going from the number that have been released and subtracting Pekora's number. Of course there are a couple of numbers they have skipped (I think 1 or 2) that never got released, and then there are all the JK variants that share a number, but I was happy with that estimate and the result that only 10% were Hololive releases.

And then that pedantic fucker wanted a total of how many Figma are released a year because....???? What fucking difference did it make? Does it change the fact that 15 out of 150 Figma are Hololive?
What, I'm supposed to dig through every listing to see when it was released to figure out what year to count it in? Do I count DX releases or not? Do I count Armed JK variants?
So you know what, fuck it, the faggot can have an average of everything listed on the Figma page of GSC global.
EVERYTHING.
No, I'm not filtering out FigmaPLUS for a shitposter that is just as bad as glorp.
I'm counting the thumbnails, I'm adding the colour variants dresses, and I'm averaging it and then figuring out the percentage of Hololive releases from that.
Reissues don't count? No, he asked how many Figma are released. Not new Figma. Of course, he was too lazy to specify that, because the fucker was also too lazy to use a question mark.

Approximately 60 releases per year on average.
5% of all releases in that time have been Hololive.
Faggot face "I accept da concession" should have shut his fucking cocksucking mouth when I estimated it at 10%.

If you have a problem with it, you fuckers can count everything out to that faggot's specifications.
The percentage will be slightly different, but the point will still be the same. The statement that Figma have released almost nothing but Hololive for years is complete and utter bullshit.
>>
>getting this buttmad over someone just wanting to know how many figma are released in a year and how many of them are from hololive
>>
>>11714462
Because when an entire year looks like this, 4 figures of streamers with an anime skin are going to stand out, I guess.
This is lessened in a year like 2025 that has multiple other big ticket releases people want, though that still has 3 Hololive releases.
Going off this picture alone, you could argue just as well that JJK got a whole bunch of releases in the same year (3). The difference is that JJK didn't get 3 or 4 more in the following year. It got 2 in 2024 and after that, the releases ended.
It started with 2 in 2022, crept up to 4 in 2023, held strong at 3 in 2024, remained at 3 in 2025, and has 3 more slated right now for 2026.
Then there's the 4 teases and prototypes that didn't make it or are still planned to releases that would have added to people's mental idea of how many releases it gets.
When looking at this stuff, it makes just as much sense to look at the consistent output through the years and take into account how an entire year of Figma releases looks (not very meaty).
>>
>>11714469
If you want to know how many Figma are released in a year, you can count them.
I did it for the entire run since the first Hololive Figma went up for preorder because the claim was Figma had released almost nothing but Hololive for years.
If you want the numbers by year, you do the work. You won't though, because you are a shitposter that probably can't even count past 10.
>>
So...when are we getting this cute killing machine? Why does Guyver get the nostalgia treatment but nothing else from the 80s nip animation scene?
>>
>>11714486
So 4 out of 56?
7.14%.
So even the year with the most Hololive releases is still lower than my 10% estimate.

They realized they fucked up after hearing of a model kit version of the same character from Bandai's new signature model kit umbrella. So partly because of Chinese New Year and partly not to dare challenge Bandai, they delayed the figma Castoria.

Also, I noticed the figma Modernia: Second Affection doesn't show up in most online stores. Does that mean she's another exclusive to certain large stores?

little super glue though and it's ok. She really does look beautiful. I got the tears of the Kingdom Link Figma last year. Loved it at the time, but now I’m starting to think it looks like shit lol. 2B makes him look like a Mcdonalds toy and the scale on that Link bothers me more.

Was debating getting A2, seems like she is well received. I actually like her more as a character, but I think the 2B figure just looks way better. I think the A2 design is just a little more boring and I don’t really like the seams on the hair/shoulders too much.

does the toki have blank faceplates with waterslides or were the blanks pre-order bonuses only?

I don't think it's "bad" but could have been so much more. I canceled my Zelda once I saw how bad it was. I have Ganondorf, but I never got around to actually opening him. He looks good?

>>11718900
I ended up paying aftermarkt for Twilight Princess Zelda. Absolutely love it.

I'm definetly considering selling my Tears of the Kingdom Link and hunting down that Twilight Princess Link as well. The neck seems kind of weird to me though.

Like the scale on that Tears one is really getting to me lol. it didn't bother me nearly as much when I just had him chilling. I remember everyone going off on it when it came out and I was just like "its not that bad", but now seeing him next to other figures like 2B or that older Zelda, the ginormous head is starting to trigger me. The paint kind of seems cheaper, more dull as well. and another minor nitpick, but it's also pretty annoying how he always leans slightly forward. so always has a slight hunchback. the new Zelda had that same damn issue from a review I saw.

Nice, finally got a custom cloak. Years later I had no idea they never included a hand cannon part. The SH version has one, but not a fan of the finish on it. Wish they would do a 2.0. But its been a while since this came out, they probably don't even care anymore.
>>
>>11719432
I'd sell it for retail or slightly below, but It's more something I'm considering in the future , particularly if i end up getting Twilight princess Link and I end up liking that one a lot more to replace. Seems like it's just about as expensive as the Zelda now though lol so I may just end up coping with this one for quite a bit.

Should mention it's also the base version and not the DX one with all the shit included.
>>
>>11716131

>Seems like it's just about as expensive as the Zelda now
Damn, i really lucked out then, i got my tp link for like 9k yen two years ago and it was pretty much brand new. The jap that sold it to me seemed desperate to get rid of stuff for space.
>>
>>11719911
well, they made skull knight, so maybe they'll make more berserk figs
but since skull knight was a qc bomb, maybe it's not the best idea
>>
>>11720010
Yeah I think they rereleased him a couple years ago as well. And even up until August of last year with the tariffs it was pretty easy to find decent deals overseas. But with tariffs its basically now equatable to domestic ebay prices for a lot of stuff.
>>
>>11719962
Well, if you ever do I'll try to catch it. I have TP Link and he's great. I also have SS Link and ALBW, although I view him as ALTTP/LA/Oracles. I was on the fence about BoTW because of the scale issues, but I figured I would just set them up in a way that it won't really be noticeable.

Remind me again WHY people use AmiAmi?
>>
>>11722297
not amiami's fault the US elected and is still letting a literal retard shit up the country.
>>
>>11722297
I'm not American.
>>
>>11722297
are you stupid?
they are trying to do their customers a favor instead of hitting them with possible new fees or overcharging them for lowered ones, this is the responsible thing for a business to do
>>
>>11722297
This but BBTS.
>>
>>11722300
>not amiami's fault the US elected and is still letting a literal retard shit up the country.
This.

>>11722306
Don't know why /toy/ swears by these chink sites. You save maybe a couple of bucks, maaayybe. I'd rather order from BBTS and their excellent customer service. I've had a figure show up broken and they replaced it for free while letting me keep the broken one. A different shipment ended up being delivered to the wrong address or was swiped from my porch. BBTS replaced my order at no charge. Meanwhile, ONE figure never arrived from amiami, they told me to check with my neighbors, and then stopped responding to my emails.
>>
>>11722297
is this even real? No email and nothing on the site.
>>
>>11722413
Yes.
>>
>>11722507
damn that sucks, have orders for the next few months.
>>
>>11722360
That customer service you pay double the price of the actual product for better be good.
>>
>>11722297
They were doing this shit before the current administration. They just now have an excuse people believe.
>>
>>11722297
lol imagine being american lmao even
>>
>>11722297
DESU amiami was pretty much the undisputed king until August of last year with the first wave of "tariffs". They ALWAYS charged less shipping than pretty much every other import site, they never charged you immediately. Theres a reason when shit went up for preorder it was common for amiami to sell out within minutes.

The shit with them taking forever to ship shit out now I have no idea, but with the tariffs they are taking a different stance to other import sites. Who are stilll letting you order, except the shipping/tariffs are fucking insane. Its like $40-50 bucks to ship your average 6 inch figure. On top of the fact that a lot of these premium figures are nearing $100 to begin with... Its just insane. All of these sites suck cock to order from now.

I hate bitching about trump because the first thing is people automatically group me with the mentally ill liberals who hate him because they think he is hitler(lul), but fuck that fat retard and his team.

>I hate bitching about trump because the first thing is people automatically group me with the mentally ill liberals who hate him because they think he is hitler(lul)
I used to think the constant Trump seething was cringe but last year pretty much proved libtards were right about everything. That guy doesn't have a single redeemable quality. Anyone that feels anything besides total condemnation toward him is most likely morally compromised.
>>
>>11722707
Not inaccurate, but I still believe the country would be worse (or at least headed to worse) under kamala, so there's that.
Anyway trump figma when? Would genuinely buy (if we were back in 2017 pricing)
>>
>>11722707
The reasons the left hate Trump and the reasons the right hate Trump couldn't be any more different. He became a completely different person last June. Went from hating Bibi to being his best friend. Vice versa with Musk. None of it makes any fucking sense. Tariffs are all he has left of his original agenda. Once that's gone he may as well resign in disgrace. Everyone knows he's a Jewish puppet and his legacy, such as it is, is toast.
>>
>>11722297
>don't have cash at the moment to immediately take on my orders due to emergency things that required my cash to be used
>Amiami halts my orders because of tarrif fuckery
Based Amiami.
>>
>>11722794
but then it creates a bigger order, which means more money. Ami-chan is smart and ruthless.
>>
>>11723084
I personally never combined any of my post tariff pause orders together to ship because I don't trust any courier to not lose such an expensive package.
>>
>>11714091

Figma #680 Gigantic Dark pre-order could be coming very soon!

>Due to sudden announcements and ongoing changes regarding U.S. import tariffs and customs procedures, we temporarily paused invoicing and shipping for orders destined for the United States from February 21st to February 24th (Japan time). As of February 25th, we have resumed normal processing and shipping to the United States.

Just fucking with Americans.

>>
>>11722360
You can't even count LMAO. Why should I even be surprised, you're americuck. BBTS is literally fucking him in the ass and he's loving it.

I genuinely doubt it, specially for the clip since their clear plastic formula is just a ticking timebomb for a long time now.

do you live in the desert or something?

Log of the year for sure.
>>

No, just a room that gathers dust,
>>
>>11726289
Makes sense, since it’s always under her skirt, idk how they’d attach it to her ass with it normally crammed down there. If one wishes to lewd the wolf there’s plenty of blank animal girl bodies and parts around.
>>
>>11726102
Plastic fabric craves dust. Got an air purifier? Helps a little bit, I keep all mine in a Detolf to prevent the majority of dust in my old ass house getting in.

Kemopla Japanese wolf girl with the upcoming human parts is probably the best bet. You can buy blank 30MS bodies and type soft goods tails and plastic parts on Ali, too. I think there’s also a snail shell girl upcoming but she has a soft tail.
