These threads die without a flagship brand or toyline. I've been on this board a long time and seen similar threads die quick. Mainly because Third Party is the wrong term for this new paradigm shift happening in China. It doesn't even have a word to describe it at the moment. Confusing /toy/ posters with a vague, ultimately inaccurate OP title is a death sentence for the thread. Pick a brand, include release dates for upcoming toys from that brand, and list off all the others that fall under the umbrella. Put in a modicum of effort and posters will respond in kind.

I've gotten interested in stuff because of a well done general. I'm not going to full-on buy Mythic Legions but I like their accessory packs and boght some for someone else who does do fantasy and might, one day, buy some shit for myself.

A year ago, I had no idea that was a thing, and though of accessory packs as 15-20 weapons. Or fodder you buy on the secondary market.

OP here: I wasn't even trying to make a general, I just wanted to start up a thread talking about third party figures I'm looking into or curious for and if there's any others who are doing the same. Genuinely don't understand why so many are getting hung up about making a general "the right way" when that wasn't even my goal and people can't seem to agree on one thing enough to make it a regular thing. It's the reason why I didn't bother putting "General" in the title in the first place.

If people want to make a proper general then by all means do so if you feel like it. I just want to talk about and look at some upcoming figures is all.
