The Nemesis, revealing its erratic behavior as the result of the strange fog, crashes and a figure emerges from the spaceship. It reveals itself as Nemesis Prime! Looking from afar, a cycloptic figure is satisfied with this turn of events, noting that a giant energon star will reset this universe...
Notable things brought up:
-Hot Shot recently reverted to his old sports car alt mode.
-Forestonite is mentioned again, working how it did in that botcon story. It should be noted the material is mentioned in recent mp bios (which is currently doing a Cybertronian empire storyline, for some reason).
-Takara initially had Galaxy Force as it's own thing, and not a continuation of Supwr Link, bur later had the same black hole excuse, even if no fiction touched upon it. Shockblast appears at the end, so maybe they'll finally so something with it.
-Optimus is apparently "missing" not dead.

I know this will be a bit controversial here, but seeing new chapters of the Legends manga makes me really miss the old TFCC comics and prose stories. I know some of the people behind them are a bit controversial but it was nice getting stories focusing on lesser TF characters while Hasbro mostly stuck to the big names. Hell, Jim Sorenson still does occasionally work for Hasbro and other licensees, let him write a comic or something to tie into the newest Generations line just so we can get more than bio blurbs of a story

Summaries are on tfwiki. They started an End of G1 universe story arc with an online comic promoting Dark Amber Leo, then had a other for Legendary Green Lion Lio Convoy and now for G2 Menasor. The plot draws from the precursor universe comics that came out to promote Star Convoy, Super Megatton, God Neptune and King Poseidon, the universe in that story waa ending and they wanted to use the energy from the universe that would replace it (the g1 universe). I was the only one into rock n' roll, instead of the rap and calling good things 'bad.'
What they valued was ignorance and plainness. being even okay at school was considered extremely unbefitting of a boy. Only girls got good grades. Girls, maybe 1 or 2 very effeminate and/or overweight guys, and me. That was it. You could tell the guys COULD have gotten better grades, but refused to even do assignments, as failure felt socially obligated.

Too many anons are super insecure about their toy collecting and it eminates off of them. People can tell. I've shown my collection to tons of people and get nothing but compliments. Honestly, the most common reaction is them finding a random character or shelf and then proceeding to gush about how much they love that particular franchise/character. I've had frat guys sperg out over my various anime figures, I've had yoked delivery guys absolutely lose their minds over my Dragon Ball collection (they were black, they are predisposed for loving DBZ), and various girls I've brought home all find a particular franchise or character they could relate to, be it TMNT, anime, Marvel, or video game characters. It all just depends on how you present not only your collection, but yourself. If your collection is organized, dusted, and not full of creepy gooner shit people aren't going to shit on it. And if you are a clean, confident, emotionally stable individual, then people aren't going to make fun of you for collecting toys. There are far dumber and more embarrassing things that people collect than little plastic effigies dedicated to movies, comics, TV shows, and other media that you really enjoy. The most negative comments I've gotten are related to how much the collection cost. But when I let them know it's been building over the course of a decade and a half, they get it more.

Considering you wouldn't be in this thread if you didn't like Transformers yourself I assume I shouldn't have to explain to you why I like them. I like sports because they're fun? And I'm athletic and enjoy competition? Don't know how else to answer that. And truth be told I don't even watch a lot of sports anymore anyway, I used to be a big NFL fan but the league is too corrupt and gay and I haven't followed it closely for years.

I'd say the bigger issue is they kinda cheaped out (you can tell Hasbro was at least calling a few of the shots). The whole idea is you can make anything you want, but far too many limbs had totally molded, immobile joints, and thus wouldn't make much good other parts.. and the heads were all tiny, so any big combined thing you made was stuck microcephalic.

So Hearts of Steel Megs is kind of awesome. His shoulder-wheels obviously get in the way, but it's a small price to pay for his bitchin' silhouette. Also helps that his proportions, in general, are really fucking cool. Like he's got great "just standing there" energy. He even manages to make that "off-black" brown plastic look good, somehow.

If I pop the titplate off, she gets 90% of the way there. The main issue is that I can't connect the tank-barrel to the backpack due to her head being larger than SS1 Megs' and filling up the whole chest cavity.
Her lower body, and some of the accessories, are from an OSKO SS1 Megs I got on Aliexpress for $5. The waist connector/extension and titplates I designed myself, and the head is from Mavs3d (resized it and modified the neck a little). Oh and the hands are some upgrade hands I got for literally 1 penny on ebay (seller mispriced them).

Glad Cyclonus is more than just a package refresh, makes holding off on the Kingdom version feel more worth it for me. anytime people discuss 'a starscream' I always think of how hilarious Terrorsaur is
on the surface he's a fucking buffoon, but every single act of his shows just what a complete loose cannon lunatic Megatron is. He's such a fringe actor that, even with his golden disk and knowledge of earth, the BEST predacons he could get were a double agent mad scientist, a loyal but absent-minded tech guy who was a few dilithium crystals short of a warp core, a Zuko who deserted him the MOMENT the situation looked even slightly like Megatron had failed, a goofball that speaks in first person, and the world's most unsubtle and ineffective Starscream. Megatron SAYS he keeps everyone around because they're useful, but it's clear that he just took what he could get, and all the rest of the preds think he's a retard. And at the end when he becomes a religious fanatic, it's not even a surprise.
He was INCREDIBLY lucky to keep winning stasis pods and getting more useful allies, and even those had a tendency to defect or die.

This comparison is hilarious to me, because I always looked at BW Megatron taking his name from the Covenant of Primus/original Megatron as the in universe equivalent of a guy deciding to call himself Hitler II after reading Mein Kampf. Like, you've got the Tripredacus Council desperately trying to keep a lid on things until they feel they're ready for war while a dude who named himself after the greatest war criminal in history is running around with a gang of mercenaries stealing starships and Energon. Can't really fault the Maximals for giving all Preds the side eye at that point.

You've got to appreciate how G1 Season 3 really tried to change up the status quo. The Autobot leader was no longer the wise team dad but someone with doubts and a bit of inferiority complex. The Decepticon leader was completely batshit and sometimes as much a danger to his own troops as he was to the enemy. The Decepticon second in command was actually loyal and competent, with a sense of honor. The Quintessons didn't only expand the lore but were essentially a third faction. They really took a risk changing things up so much.

I was too young for it at the time but I kind of imagine if I had seen the shift to Season 3 and Robotech together it would have set me up for impossible standards TV channels would air cartoons that would be willing to go beyond a "everything needs to be reset by the end of the 22 minutes" style. I mean obviously G1 is also one of those too but if I had seen it when I was 5 or something instead of as an adult when Rhino put out DVDs, I could have believed they were aiming higher than they really were.

A new coronation set wouldn't hurt since the mold won't fit in with the 86 collection if folks care about that enough
