Infernofest was small and a little amateurish compared to other bigger cons, but it was a lot of fun. Completely worth it just to meet the European based creators and stock up on fan merch. Some of the cosplay was great too. If I'm able to attend this year I will definitely let deerfrens know. :3

I always used to love buying K-beauty products because there were so many freebies. I don't even care if they're factored into the price, it's so satisfying getting something extra.

I got the spicy demon Al, and all three of the Alastor hearts since they're cute. I literally ended up spending all my money at once since I also had to pay for the maid cafe things I bought from Animate, so I'm poor again.

See I like the banner pins, but I don’t like proclaiming myself as the number 1 fan because I hate feeling like I’m competing with anyone. That’s why I went for the others instead, I need more neon to go with the one pin I already have, and I have very little with human Alastor on it, so it works for me. If I had unlimited money I would have bought every Alastor variant, but alas, I need to eat.

Funnily I also through the same, I kind of thought if I ever caved and bought something deer related from Bad Dragon, I would get it with a custom gradient.

I just ignored the text, it's not really my preference either, but it's fine to have all of his canonical designs on one pin. If I had unlimited money I'd have all the deer. I've considered getting a particular Bad Dragon design as well. They're kind of expensive, but the quality is good, as I have a couple of their other designs.

I’m just being nitpicky, since I can’t afford to get everything. It’s still a lovely pin. I try to limit bigger purchases, so while I’ve been considering something from BD, it might have to wait a bit until I’ve bought a few other things. I do own a few things from them already so I know it’s worth it. That's sort of my situation, I'm having to budget just a bit because I've got some medical bills (yay America), but my wishlist is much smaller than it was a month ago. I think that now Valentine's is over my pocketbook can breathe easy. I lowkey keep waiting on BD or another toy manufacturer to make Hazbin toys like BD has done for other properties like MLP, Stranger Things and Spyro. My family has a few vintage radios from the 20s/30s that we inherited. My great aunt owned the general store/post office in the bumfuck swamp town my family hails from, and they always had one going in there from what I remember. So we got those and the heirloom peppers. The latter of which my brother better keep because I doubt they'll enjoy ending up in dreary England 100 years from now.

I think this year's fan merch was far superior. Al's outfit looked cute, but it really wasn't 'him', and the discourse around it from shippers made me go from 'meh' to annoyed with the whole thing. Plus there wasn't any human merch, which was odd. I do recall a Valentino dildo and a Loona onahole, if someone made a proper Alastor toy I'd spend my money so fast lel. I recall there being a vintage market in Greenwich, but at this point it's probably all AI slop and 3D printed dragons.

So how are we feeling about this Kay person Viv has hired? Personally I'm very weary of another Voxfag on the team. I used to enjoy him as a character, and Radiosilence as well, but now I'm really past it. I feel like Alastor is getting relegated to a side character that gets either sexually harassed or humiliated in some way. I came very close to leaving for fanon after S2, if in S3 Alastor only exists for sexual tension between him and Lucifer and more 'complicated and sad' nonsense with Vox I'll have to drop it I guess. Maybe I'm being fatalistic.

I personally still don’t see the point in doomering until we know what we’re dealing with. They’re already recording season 4 aren’t they, so it’s not like adding another Voxfag is going to change things drastically now. I still like RS, there are a handful of loud fans who refuse to believe Vox is going to move on from Alastor, which feels like the most likely scenario. From everything we’ve seen so far, SM is endgame and Vox is going to move on and realise the Vees are more important to him. I’d be surprised if I’m wrong about that. I don’t think the buzz over Tia’s fanart has helped with that regard. Nothing is confirmed until it’s in the show.

I'm probably just being blackpilled over the whole thing. I doubt they'll significantly change the direction of the show, but they could have impact on discourse around it. Things like merch, social media posts, etc. There are a very vocal minority of MM/RS fans that will make things insufferable if staff keeps leading people on with ship bait and the promise of more interaction/backstory/whatever. I don't want the flashback from Al's perspective. I don't want more 'complicated and sad'. I don't want to watch a Vox depression special. Alastor was an asshole and kept him around because he made Alastor feel better about himself or whatever it was that Viv said. I think she should leave it at that and move forward with the main plot about the hotel instead of becoming Helluva 2.0.

I mainly wish Viv and her pals would stfu, everything that’s said just causes drama and stirs up retards who take things out of context or decide that x is definitely happening because Viv vaguely alluded to it. I kind of get the feeling that the hotel won’t be relevant again until the end? Next season Charlie and her dreams will probably be overshadowed by her parent’s drama. The Vees stuff could be fine, if they balance it right, ie if Viv can help herself and not shove Val in our faces every two seconds. I’m not opposed to seeing Al’s side of the story either, as long as it’s relevant to the plot moving forward instead of just shipbait. Show that he’s changed, and now he can care, or that he always did care, but not in the same way as Vox, so he didn’t know how to handle it. And yeah, he could also just be an asshole. He’s not a nice man, even to people he supposedly respects. The sense of entitlement some people have over their ships is crazy though. I’m tired of hearing how x ship won and y ship lost. It’s boring, just drop your art and go.

That's really my main issue, and why I'm nervous about another characterfag joining the team. Viv needs objective staff, not staff members who have bias. I'm even on the fence about people who work on the show interacting with fans the way Amir and co. have with art commissions and such. We're just unfortunate enough to have a fandom that can't be normal about these things. And sadly I don't trust Viv to do any male same sex attraction storylines without shipbait, so I'd much rather not have any at all unless she means to make it canon like Huskerdust.

We really can't have nice things in this fandom, there are too many people who insist that once someone who works on the show says something, it must be canon. Too many people will weaponise things out of context just to bully those who like a rival ship. Viv and co are the ones who created this atmosphere though, they're so blatant with their favouritism. Before season 2, even though I don't like the ship I was sort of ready to embrace it if it ever gained traction later on. Now I don't think I'd ever buy it in the show. The way Charlie was written made her unlikeable, and Viv's reaction to the criticism made me think it isn't going to get much better. No one wanted Charlie to kiss Lucifer's booboos, it's as bad as the people who still say those who criticise Charlie just hate women. She could be such an interesting character, unfortunately she's Viv's self insert.

It does, since Charlie's the one whose entire thing is that anyone can be redeemed. Even characters who have done incredibly bad things, like Alastor. Part of her character growth should be figuring out how to deal with the idea of redemption with regards to sinners like Alastor, who enjoy being in Hell and are completely unrepentant for their crimes. If anything it should be the other way around, with Lucifer seeing how Charlie doesn't give up on Alastor, who exemplifies all the qualities he hates in sinners. Alastor's eventual redemption would then end up affecting Lucifer and make him change his view on sinners, since if someone that bad can change, anyone can.

It’s slightly more words than I normally write for a chapter, they’re usually around 3k. But this one has melodrama.

Usually non-sharing yumes will block doubles, so that’s why I feel validated. I mostly just repost art and post fanfiction, so it’s not like I do anything offensive. I have one popular Alastor yume muted because she annoys me, but otherwise I want to see all the cool stuff everyone else is up to. I only found out because they had a lot of merch in their shrine and I couldn’t like it.

Interesting. While I suppose I understand the mentality of non-sharing yumes, I feel like it's a bad idea in practice because you kind of alienate yourself if it's triggering you to see other people self ship. I mean, not that many people are interested in canon x OC unless that person stands out in the community, and by cutting ties with other yumes they shoot themselves in the foot. I try to write reader insert for this reason, because outside of our little clique nobody cares about Millie x Alastor lol. I'll keep Camp Fawn as my only self indulgence. My mental health is questionable on good days, so I've actively avoided going down the non-sharing pipeline and kept myself to 'soft' riako, if that makes sense. Compartmentalization and all of that.

I think it’s a tough one when you’re talking about an extremely popular character like Alastor. I do have mutuals who are also Alastor yumes, as long as you sort of stay in your lane and don’t encroach on what anyone else is doing, it’s all good. If they really want to avoid interacting then fine, it’s up to them, but like you say it’s got to be quite isolating. I treat everyone else like I do ships with canon characters, I’m very good at compartmentalising. It reminds me a little of girls who insist that so-and-so celebrity is theirs and no one else is allowed to like them. Jealousy and competition are not fun, so I try to avoid them as much as possible.
