Like, some folks got normal stuff like you did, Jack got some kinda fancy knife and adventuring gear apparently, others got a bit of a weird mix, like me n' vex, I got a tailoring kit but also the uh, marble collection that did me in tucked in with it, so.. bit strange. Then folks like Sanaa and Zed just got mementos of their previous lives. Sanaa got some book that's related to some group of smeargle that've been around town claiming she's some long lost family or something, so.. yeah, whoever set all this stuff up has a pretty odd outlook on what a "gift" is, clearly. :x
I wouldn't really dwell on it too much, personally. S'not like anyone wrote in telling our would-be Santa what to get, haha~

Its hard to tell now, but if you shift some of the topsoil outside of town to the south you can find the remains of some of the roots. We found them while plowing the ground there while setting up the fields.

(Yes to both. Raider does have a thing for reptiles since they are so different to what he is used to and dinos are the ultimate reptiles. He lived in a city that didn't have a whole lot of diversity so anything not a dog or small to medium sized mammal is really exotic and interesting to him. That's why he was so willing to approach Ignis and the Tyrantrums despite being a wuss.)

In Lapras time, everyone is settling down and going to sleep, but in day, we have Fly waiting at med station, Audrey and Cato wandering and checking out the tree I think, Vex is being sad and nomming Pizza, Mewt is having her adventure with Shaymin and Nina, Zed and Sanaa are in another town on an adventure, haven't heard from Ignis and Minnie in a while, but they are still in the guild hall with Zed clone and Nox is around there too I think, not really sure where Evelyn, Lilith, and Chai are, and of course Raider and Oren are conked out in Raiders room after a roll in the hay.
