How come /tv/ isn’t excited for this movie? It’s like Mann hand picked the cast for us.

Honestly? It's fucking impossible to watch in one sitting. The action, or more specifically the sound design, and a lot of the cinematography is amazing, but the two leads and their drama is so goddamn bad. It's like watching two episodes of True Detective of Rust and Marty just talking to themselves.

Main thing that worries me is that the book takes place in multiple time periods. Mann has said in interviews he plans to use AI to age and de-age actors as they shift between periods. Might be a disaster in the making

>Janny’s all over you. He's taken down some heavy posters. Range banned the Baskinspammer last year. He was a fucking maniac. He was cleaning /b/ before that. He’s why the extra deletes.
>Kicked out of three community colleges, what the fuck do you think that means? That he wants a real job with actual money? Means he’s one of those guys out there cleaning the board all day, dedicated, for free.
>With this guy and this much heat, you should get a 4chan pass.

I can recall the television ad campaign of HEAT. The film was advertised during every break back in '95. It was annoying. I can remember the voice-over saying something along the lines of: ''Hollywood's most electrifying actors face each other''. I didn't know anybody that went to the cinema to see it. I finally watched it in 2008. I thought it was shite for the most part. I enjoyed the bank heist, though.

If it doesn't have Emma Myers and Awkwafina in it as the love interests (with both of them doing nuddy scenes) then he did not hand pick the cast for us at all, he did it for Reddit.

Well yeah you’re British, you guys were too busy having gay sex and letting in a million Arabs instead of watching movies.

I've heard that directors sometimes ask actors to dial it up 200%, just act completely over the top, then for the next take they'll tell them to take it down. Those 200% takes are never meant to be used, they're just to get the actor in the right place.
Most of Dunkachino's performance in this movie looks like that.
