Most comfy kino that you know of itt. I have lots of contenders but I'm interested in hearing your opinions. Please, no arguing, guys. I'm old and tired

A man could die from so much Phoebe Cates and Jennifer Jason Leigh!

I think I've always loved it because, apart from the cool adventure part, it takes place in a small American town and I always love those. It's probably the same reason I put BTTF in the same bracket.

I read comfy and my brain went Amadeus 1984, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, American Graffiti, Dazed and Confused, just what sprang to mind.
But for me what I consider the most comfy is a movie I've already seen, that is the gold standard for me in several ways, doesn't have a glaring flaw, and has particularly appealing pacing. That would be a movie like Mononoke Hime, High and Low (1963), any given Godfather, maybe The Sting, or Butch Cassidy
Old man said no arguing so don't nobody call me a normie because I didn't dig

Yeah I found it disconnected too, I saw that when I was maybe seventeen and hadn't gotten into the whole trilogy properly yet. What I like about it is Michael. You miss a lot of his life, but seeing those notes of it at the end worked for me. His manner has changed, he's more Al Pacino than before, he's a diabetic, more open, and he finally allows himself to accept that he killed Fredo for no goddamn reason. I like Connie in it. She's practically married to Michael. When his granddaughter dies, it's like he grieves his life, not just her. And I like that you finally see him deal with the pezzanovante, having become one. And then he puts a total goofball in charge. Overall an emotional movie I think, and has the same sense of subtext as 1 & 2.

Fast Times is just about the least comfy movie I can think of, it gets me fired up angry because how subversive it is. The most comfy kino I can think of right now is probably the first Sherlock Holmes movie.
