Unironically kino. Great send up of LA and all the degeneracy of Hollywood. You can tell Carpenter made the film as a big "Fuck you" and it's hilarious. If you're not into it by the basketball scene, just stop watching already.

Mouth of Madness was Johnny C's only decent 90s film, and it was nothing special. I was about 10 when Escape From LA came to the rental shop, and I thought it was total crap even at that age.
