sure but JJ's movies before RoS destroyed his career oozed cinematic grandiure. of course, only on the visuals side but still. his style was very much a holdover from the 2000's style that Bay pioneered. he hasn't directed since 2019.

The third one was not good. The tone is off, it's too reddit. Zulu's boyfriend, Globohomo Starfleet City, Destroying The enemy with Beastie Boys music, Idris Elba in a gorilla mask.
