I started watching this but with the worst method.
>Be me
>Love alternate history media
>Friend circle says it's a good series, even online people praise it. Decide to give it a try
>First episode is good at setting the tone but kinda bored of my mind for the drama stuff of the MC(if there is one)
>Second episode start again with drama and decide to put the series on 1.25 speed.
>Third episode more love drama.... I WANT POLITICS AND SCENARIOS IN MY ALTERNATE HISTORY SERIES!
>Decide to skip every drama scene and keep seeing the part of mission related or Nasa related or politics.
>I'm at 8th episode of first season and for now I would say that only 30 minutes or 20 minutes per episode are about the mission the rest is just gay or cheating drama.
>With this method I think the series is good actually.
So what do you think about this series? For me by skipping the drama I think it's solid but I fear it shit the bed after season 1, more like going on the wacky direction instead of "Let's really try to create a belivable alternate history world".
The only drama I followed in this season was the gay astrounaut and the FBI hunt I hated both factions.

Yeah that's what I did too. Well, specifically the crappy diversity subplots that go nowhere. Some of the drama (the non-diversity shit by pure coincidence surely) is actually plot relevant.
The alt history was good enough that it has no real competition. However, once passing our own time it's becoming a sci fi show and loses a lot of the interest (as it used to be based on actual designs and concepts from history that were never built, but is now increasingly just made up bullshit like any other show).

They had a general idea for a series, then realised haf-way through they don't even have plot for 5 episodes, so they padded it out with drama.
Then they decided that writing drama is easier than making a space exploration show
The end result is a soap opera that just happens to be space exploration adjecant. How this shit went past the ending of season 2 is beyond me, and we are right before what? Season 4? 5? premiere
