Yes. I didn't know the story but guessed the "surprising" end anyway halfway through the movie.

I feel like if they had written a line slightly more clever than "if you admit you stole my story I'll go ahead and just turn myself in for the murders" they could have prevented the reveal from being so obvious so early

Yes.
I still periodically call people rubberneckers. Stupidest line in the movie but still funny as hell

Yes, very satisfying ending

There’s something about the scene where he’s in the car realizing the truth that makes it live rent free in my head. The pages with the story are all ripped out.
>how could he do that?
>no, think about it… how?

I was certain the scene where he's ditching the car and his watch snags and he has to drop it inside would ne significant later on. Anyways was kinda sad about the girl and her new bf

This, It reminds me of the lazy days when you just spend your time drinking and smoking, waiting and hoping for something to happen.

Yea I read the book when I was in grade school and then when I was in high school I dated a girl who loved that movie because she liked Johnny Depp, so we watched it together a bunch of times. I have warm memories of laying in bed with her watching this movie and some other stuff
