This is a strange cold war propaganda piece, it seems to depict the soviet union as a super advanced scientific state and the united states as the plucky underdog. Very odd considering actual reality.

Rcoky 4 turned Apollo from an incredibly smart, competitive, and savvy Muhammad Ali-esque businessman with the heart of a warrior into some weirdly nationalistic dipshit. It defies belief why Stallone character assassinated him like that before just straight-up assassinating him. It was the coke.

I'd add >>218310801 as well but yeah.
Is the Director's Cut any good? I have a massive soft spot for the original and from what I've heard it changes quite a lot of the cheesey shit that makes it so great.

I liked it. They added a couple scenes at the beginning of the movie and during the fight, and they removed everything to do with the robot. Other than that it was the same.

It removes a lot of the 80s campiness of the theatrical cut and makes it more dramatic and serious. It feels like a different movie, closer to the first Rocky or the 2006 movie. I still prefer the original but it's worth seeing.
