It did actually make me think when I was younger looking at religion in a theological way trying to gain understanding, that these jew stories, handed down from things like egypt and sumerian stories etc, because that is all they are, probably come from original sources of what was essentially camp fire story telling of our (human) history and shit like that passage, with genesis itself being the most important and clearly ancient part of the jew books (because it deals with pre jew shit and metaphysics) that these stories might simply derive from pre homo sapians and shit like the quot of these s giants fucking our women might simply be stories of us interbreeding with the neanderthal.
Food for thought.
Though to add, there is a massive amount of similar stories akin to the tree, adam and eve and garden of eden that is shared around human history spread across the world.
That and humans around the world pretty much all have morality of interbreeding because we probably all realized millennia ago that fucking your siblings and parents causes fucked up babies that this type of selective breeding of the neanderthal and humans might have been a genuine historical event.
