Murcielago feels like an obviously male written yuri, unlike MahoAko, for some reason. I think the characters need to have some stronger and more colourful personality, and we don't have enough wholesome moments and character development.

Author is indeed a guy, but that comment about the characters not having personality still makes zero sense because Murciélago has a very adequate amount of wholesome moments and character exploration, and I admit this series has its flaws. (I've almost given up on it multiple times in the past couple years before it hooked me back in)

The english publisher will probably want to reprint it at some point since they rarely shy away from overprinting in my experience. The JP version is reprinted occasionally and 5 is still available at the moment too. If you look hard enough you'd probably be able to find a small bookstore somewhere with an online presence to buy it from as well.
