Mods usually did charname romances, I don't remember any, hence why it was kinda crack to ship Aerie and Imoen. I only found out years later. There was some dude making 3D fanart of them much later (in the pre-AI era...). I didn't know it was a thing personally, until then.

By mod NPC, I meant Valen. She's the faceless vampire that serves as Bodhi's messenger in the game, and got a mod turning her into a vampire companion back in ~2003 or so.

Its a shame people don't draw Freiren and Flamme. There actually was a chance there. We are supposed to think that Flamme was just too driven to learn how to kill demons that she didn't bother to get into a relationship and so she never had kids. But it could just as easily been that she had Freiren as a lover and had been Serie's lover before that. Improbible, true, but not impossible. But Fern x Freiren has been written out completely.
