Even with the danbooru spammer the previous thread wasn't able to hit the image limit before the thread prior to that one had long since fallen off the catalog, despite the fact that it was made only 2 days after it hit the bump limit, meaning your pedantic fears couldn't be any more unfounded and irrelevant.

I always felt that this pairing worked only thank to pasteltel. Not necessarily in terms of traits, but in terms of community engagement, and with actual works never giving much material to work with it was always dependent on fans. Pasteltel moved and the pairing plummeted.
Now, why AyaxMarisa never took off, with some independent canon basis for the pairing, is a mystery to me.
