They should've gone the route of Playtime Co. making living toys for the purpose of selling them. Like Elliot Ludwig's magic for creating the most lifelike toys on the planet died with him and the company has started to stagnate and fall into controversy, but fear not for they have a new solution, take orphans and make the toys actually alive. Would've opened up far more horror potential. Huggys moving around peoples homes at night and trying to kill the kids, parents discovering that their daughter's Mommy Long Legs bleeds when you twist it the wrong way, police and news investigating all of this. Feels more analog horror and probably doesn't translate well into a video game, but it's more interesting than just "we want slaves and immortality".
