How is Sims 4 doing? I didn't hate it when it was released and honestly preferred it to Sims 3 even then, but I haven't played it since. The game got a bunch of cringe updates like Star Wars and shitty furries (not even hot ones). Sims 4 is really only good for making waifus and taking screenshots. The gameplay hasn't had any meaningful improvement with any of the expansion packs. Sims 2 is still the best in the series gameplay wise, and aesthetically imo

when I play the sims I just want to make a cool mansion, fill it with sexy women, and then have my self insert sim who lives in the underground bunker across the street try to fuck them. newer games keep throwing wrenches into this with tons of other npcs that aren't supposed to be part of the simulation but can't easily be removed because of how the game works. I guess normal people enjoy the "world simulation" shit, but I just want to play adult doll house.

Just got Late Night, Seasons, Pets and High-end Loft Stuff on CD for $3 second hand.
I've got the base game installed from the CD too, without internet access so it can't infect my computer with Origin or the EA App, it's great.
That is the way to do it. Thoroughly recommend.

Ngl, I was pretty shocked Sims 3 never had a proper hot date equivalent. You'd think Late Night would have added in diner dates but nope, all we got for that is an extremely half assed store pack. The Sims 3 store really was the unholy duality of really overpriced and very half-assed content.
