3. Even through all of this, new custom content, patches, radio shows, videos, music are being made without pause.

4. the "It's not going to last, so why put time into it" mindset is destructive to the overall enjoyment of a game. Each multiplayer game (especially AAA ones) are on a lifeline. This inevitability is one of the reasons the "Stop killing games" movement is popular.

Story: Story is marvel/disney tier shit now. Every woman is strong and empowered, and every man has been demoted to a side character or a weakling. There is no more tension between the alliance and the horde, so there's no real "War" in "Warcraft" anymore. They even admitted that they regret the game has "warcraft" in it because it's not welcoming enough to players.

Gameplay: The game has become a waiting room simulator akin to the likes of a job. People que into dungeons, wait for hours at a time thinking it's fun, do the dungeon/raid, and get free epics.

Social: The only real social aspect you'll get in the game now is directions on what to do during boss mechanics. The journey that forced player interactions are gone. Unless you tend to roleplay, there's really no social aspects anymore.

PVP: they add in PVP because PVP is more of an obligation than something they're invested in. Same battlegrounds over and over again, same arenas over and over again, and once you get the standard pvp gear so you die in 9 seconds rather than 5 seconds, you're expected to do arenas.

Everything that made the game stand out and enjoyable is hardly a factor anymore.

Are you? My favourite thing about the new Silvermoon is knowing that all zones can be remade in the same way. So, the potential for new content is infinite.
As for the actual city, it's kind of big. Luckily all the useful NPCs are centralised. Like, you have main story dudes in the middle area, all the profession people are in one place, and the inn is in the middle of the city. It just looks big, but it's not hard to get where you want.

Yes. Midnight is like War Within where the kind of gear you want has upgrade levels (it'll say 1/8) and you can get that gear without doing group content. I got upgradeable gear by killing rare mobs in the world. Only thing left would be to upgrade it. I have the quest that unlocks it, and it wants some kind of currency from rare mobs, chests, and world quests. None of that is group content.

Like make arenas a physical thing in the world instead of instances, players can organize their own pvp events, spectators can sit in the stand and take bets on who wins. Instead of dungeon/raid difficulties we simply have other more difficult dungeons. There is tons of potential here.

Retail nowadays is not even a real game, it's a cleverly planned time waster. Classic on the other hand is pretty good. But I prefer playing by favorite addon (WotLK) on the private servers instead.

I checked that quest out and turns out it's because Anduin fucked up rezzing Khadgar which makes sense since he's some shitty priest dual wielding STR swords.

Retail is fine. It still has the best moment to moment gameplay of any MMO (by that I mean just the act of moving around and hitting buttons feels way better than games like XIV or GW2). The problem with it is that everything else about it is so fucking gay and lame I just can’t stomach it for very long. I’ve tried multiple times and I always wrap back around to wishing I was playing Legion or Classic instead.

I hate that in retail you can pull like ten mobs and be fine but in vanilla if you pull more than one you will eat shit most of the time even under leveled mobs

The gear and merits mean nothing. Its a fucking video game. Play for the fun and to experience it then move on. Expansions are always fun the first month cause they're full of buzz with a large player base. By the end everyone is tired and bitter and the only people left hate themselves, the game, and their life.

I know the story of the expac (and the previous ones all the way to BoA) is turbogarbo. But is the gameplay good? Is the new DH spec good?
