I hear this one a lot
that's why i avoided stealing anything other than books
but what's the solution for such problem?
do you cap the loot or scale the economy because both of those things go against the immersion

My solution: play as 'onest 'enry in the first playthrough and absolute madman in the second. The only immersion break is that you'll make the miller the richest man in Bohemia and yet he still lives in a shitty hovel.

Vávra-bros, are we toast?
Local news have already reported he was ousted for being fucking insufferable to work with.(Yes, Amerifats, Vávra is a chud and putting fags in the game doesn't really change it. We're just not mentally ill Christacucks like you, so we don't really care about it.)

KCD might not click immediately; some bugs, some jank, and Henry's uselessness in combat for the first half of the game can be quite bothersome, but eventually it just clicks. And KCD2 is EASILY one of the best RPGs of the decade.

This:
>>734114772
Mysteria Ecclesiae is alright; I was hoping it would activate quests and random ecounters across the map as well as open up some of the churches that are closed off, but it doesn't. It's a single quest that takes you inside the Sedletz Monastery and one that quest ends, it's over. It's a decent sneak-heavy quest, though, but I'd only recommend it if you get it at discount.
The Smithy DLC is the most fun and has the most content; lots of mini-games/sidequests, and it actually makes smithing kind of enjoyable. Plus, having a proper house in the city you can build up & decorate is enjoyable and convenient.

basically this. also, it's a bit of a weird complaint, but way too much content. I had a generalist Henry who could power through any skillcheck by the time I arrived at the Kuttenberg map and lost interest a little while after. The downside of a nonfantasy medieval setting is that you know there's not going to be any surprises in the several new peasant backwaters you have access to compared to the ones at the start of the game. I'm sure Kuttenberg would have had a few interesting quests, but I wasn't feeling the story at that point and had a GodHenry(tm) so no more progression feelgood chemicals

a great first game and an okay second game but because the second game panders hard to queers and normalfags (what's the difference olololol) it's more popular and gets sucked off more (like queers).
It's certainly not bad, but it is nowhere near the ambition the first had.

one of my biggest peeves with KCD2 is the lockon still being pants-on-head retarded. I should still be able to lock onto an enemy even if he's out of my immediate sight so I don't have to exit combat to reorientate or just spam block hoping to perfect block an attack I can't see.

The labor of shaping isn't the only factor either, as high quality armor uses high carbon steel, meaning the blacksmith spent ages heating the metal in tons of charcoal, blooming it, and folding the metal into itself to take lower quality iron into high quality, high carbon steel. And that's just to have a good base to start with. Thus, a full plate armor would take like 3-4 months at least just on the one set and cost as much as a small house

it'd be nice if they did a mythological DLC. yes, it's a historical title, but expansions are the perfect place for optional buy-in whackiness. realizing some of the local legends and bringing them to reality would help with the sameyness of second half of the game and add some flavor to the early game (if desired).

Least surprising news ever. I remember the Czech rumors about Vavra being absolutely insufferable to work with for years now, to the point he got kicked to WFH for a while because he wouldn't stop arguing with randos on the internet during work hours and it was ruining everybody's morale.
>>
>>734119942
They simplified combat a bit, can't master strike with other weapons but swords.
They added one black dude that tells you to marry and have children, and also laments he's stuck in a shit camp, and is pussy that cowards away from confrontation. And they added one gay romance option to the main quest line that if you say no it never appears again, plus some minor ones that you need to dig for.
Everything is almost on par with the first one, down to the supposed wokeness and muh strong woman people imply the second possesses (yes a scrawny peasant girl Theresa can stab all the cuman army is Skalitz in the ass sure)

WHERE IS THE GHOST NIGGER WHO KEEPS "approaching" ME IN THE MARKET. WHERE IS HE I'M FEELING QUITE HUNGRY.
But yeah, Kuttenberg is nice. The thing that always does it for me is some of the hills of Trotsky where there's just a dirt path and trees and fuck all else going on and it distinctly reminds me of some the most rural areas in the UK. Hard to fucking find given the population density and urbanisations but there's a few spots here and there where you wouldn't know you were in this century and they remind me of that. Then I move like a metre and spot a power line or greggs and its all over but still.

You can reforge it and make it op. First break it on the sharpening wheel by going hard edge (you will see black smoke) Keep going till durability is at 0, then hit it against a wall or tree until it breaks. You should now have the option to reforge it when you open the smithing menu.

The reason people say it's not good is either:
1. They hate the combat
2. They think realism is boring
or
3. They're salty af about a couple of particular inclusions in the game (blacky, homosex, gypsies, jews, Cumans not bad)
In the first half of the game, you'll start with this "hey Cumans not so bad after all" narrative, where the game basically ushers you into a questline where you become bros with some Cuman gang. If I remember correctly, they're not fighting for Sigismund anymore and warn you too that there are still a lot of shitty Cumans out there.
Then there's also the gypsy shit. A bunch of quests narratively paint gypsies as victims, talking a bunch of shit about how people don't like them, but they openly steal and operate illegal businesses. Another perspective pointing this out isn't given.
As far as the blacky is concerned, you see him at an enemy camp, and he's a little annoying but more or less ignorable.
The gay option (to have romance Capon) is not in your face and you have to intentionally flirt with him multiple times. If you don't do it even once, it never happens.
The jew stuff happens in the second part of the game. There ends up being a revolt in the cities against the jews, and as a mandatory part of the main story, you're basically involved in assisting the jews against the townfolk (helping them escape through their jew tunnels lol).
Those are genuine concerns, I don't blame people for being pissed, but a lot of it is also completely overblown. None of it feels ahistorical by any means either. It's just shitty narrative control. That being said, KCD2 in every other regard is the better game. It has a stronger identity, better direction, funnier/more interesting/more varied quests. And it's less janky.

One of the only games where I made a conscious effort to learn how to navigate without the map, I'm confident I can still find my way from Rattay to Sassau
Helps that the map isn't too big, would rather have some nice countryside than a giant shitty world
The main problem with both games is that once you loot a full set of armor from a bandit you basically beat the game and can sleepwalk through all combat

Is the whole save system thing overblown or the mod to save anytime necessary?
I don't want to mod my first playthrough.
>>
>>
>>
>>734125643
If you're using an older CPU the game has a tendency to crash when exiting potion making and blacksmithing. If that's the case for you I'd recommend the quicksave mod so you can save before entering and after exiting the station, so you don't lose too much progress.
Outside of that the game runs extremely well and I've had no need to mod anything.
>>
>>734125630
>The main problem with both games is that once you loot a full set of armor from a bandit you basically beat the game and can sleepwalk through all combat
Try KCD2 on hardcore with the punchable face negative perk
Unlike my first run, where I was cheesing entire bandit camps after a certain point, master strikes are much more difficult to hit without an indicator, and enemies are more difficult and aggressive. 90h into this run and it can still be challenging (unless you cheese the game by stealth killing, which is always another option).
>>
>>734125643
This is like the only game I ever got immersed in (I'm retarded), and that's in a very large part due to not just going around hitting random NPCs and then loading a quicksave
So no, it's great, and if it really bothers you you can just learn alchemy. Just go back to town to heal and sleep if you're almost dying. The most I ever had to replay was like a 3 minute ride to a bandit camp that owned me
>>
>>
>>
>>734125643
It's overblown. You save by sleeping or drinking a potion. You can brew enough potions to last you the entire game in one half-hour sitting. And if you're too autistic to use potions bc you feel like you have to ration them, you can save scum by quitting to title and loading again.
>>
>>

>>734125864
Well, that's nice to know, the anon above mentioned alchemy so I will do that.
Thank you all for the tips and feedback, anons!
>>
>>
>>
>>734125961
Naw you can just keep them all in front of you and they don't really attack together
Unless you're talking about 1 in which case you just backpedal far enough that they start their running animation, which is extremely easy and consistent to master strike
>>734126004
I haven't had any crashed playing it years after release. Apparently it was in a terrible technical state on release with constant crashes, which would make a save system like this truly horrible
But yeah my recommendation is to just use the system as intended (basically never using the savior schnapps) and rolling with the punches. If you really do not enjoy that at all, you can always start using it
>>
>>
>>734125948
It's not just master strike indicator, with the negative perk, enemies deal more damage and are more resilient (scaled to your level), and you get damaged 10% more. They also circle you more aggressively in groups and are less likely to run away. Makes it all feel more realistic
>>
>>
>>734126063
Oh, I see, makes sense.
>>734126085
Yeah, there is always this option.
>>
>>734126004
>>734125864
Np
And the only thing about menu-quitting save scumming, is that it's more of a quicksave that gets replaced over time, not a permanent save btw, but it works as a decent last resort option
>>
One mod I would suggest for a first-time player is one that makes merchants have more cash, but you don't have to do that immediately. Can wait until you actually run into the problem of not being able to sell all the armor you loot off bandits

Shank three or four soldiers in the ass and loot their armour to sell or just use it, didn't even bothered getting the proper loot there, five sets gives you 7k to 8k anyway.
