All early reviews are bought, they literally give the game for free for a bunch of "reviewers".
Also, this is something new, besides being a Pokemon game, they need reviews to convince people to buy.
The only way to really see if a game is good is word of mouth/ legs.
I am waiting for the hype of RERequiem to die a bit and see if it's actually worth it.

Remember, this is POKEMON slapped on a game key card. There's 2 outcomes here. They're testing the waters.
>Oh shit, game key cards sell when we put our big name IPs on it!
or
>Oh shit, digital sales are the way to go now! Let's be digital-only next generation!

DQB2 has been on sale for $20, so it's funny to see people willingly pay $70 for that but with Pikachu instead. The MSRP for DQB2 was even $50, Pokefags can't help but be scalped every step of the way.

It's Builders 3, not a Builders reskin. I'd rather it was DQ themed, but B3 is worth that price tag if they actually made the social sim part better. That was one of the big issues with B1 and B2; partway in you stop giving a shit about villagers and the checklist gets tedious.

They removed the combat, it's not really DQB3. Koei Tecmo does this a lot with their licensed games, the closest example would be all the Dynasty Warriors lite games that had mechanics that were different than traditional DW. This is basically like comparing Fate Samurai Remnant or Persona 5 Strikes to the Hyrule Warriors games, it's the same team but the different IPs played much differently even though they were all musous.

The combat was pretty bad desu. I don't mind that so much. It was the objective based Minecrafting that made it fun. I can't say for certain if it's actually better, but I wouldn't be so uncharitable to it.

I love DQB and always want more of it, so I'm hopeful but I have no Switch 2 and won't buy one for it. A shame this will never come to PC due to the Pokemon license.

I had zero interest in this until I learned it was DQB3. I will now play your game.

Instead of capturing pokemon with pokemons, you attract them to your island instead. The mechanic is basically the same as Viva Pinata where you need to build specific habitats for them to come and then they join your island

No one actually cares about review scores or steam charts other than for shitposting purposes in 1 direction or the other. If Pokopia got a 78 you'd have the "OH NO NO TENDIEBROS WHAT HAPPENED?" posts instead but it got an 89 so now it's "OH NO NO SNOYBROS ARE YOU OKAY?! HAHAHAHAH"

A shitposting tsunami that engulfs the entire board, most threads would be about it like during Smash reveals. Even 5 years later there'd still be people posting the metacritic for it in different threads.
