Capcom has been on a hot streak for more than a decade now, only mid release is DD2. Wilds is an okay MH game, if a bit too non-performant, but its not dogshit. It sold like hotcakes bec of goodwil from Worlds/Iceborne

Ahy aluld you be surprised? It's a common thing that the follow up would underperform if the previous entry was a critical bust. People lose interest, they don't check out the next entry no matter how good it is.

RE7 ended uo becoming a colossal hit for Capcom though. They took a new approach after RE6 was poorly received and started focusing on long term success rather than short term. It's their 3rd best selling game of this time.
