That gacha in particular though has a very rocky history. First, the director scrapped the entire story and inserted his own cuck fanfiction. None of the original story is in the game, you can see the stark contrast between the pre-release previews and the game that happened. The director literally shunned the guy who wrote the story out of the company (he's working on BA now) and had the story rewritten 5 times right before release, and then he did an internal survey where, surprise, he rigged it so that his fanfiction won, and it includes cucking the player via an "Owen" character. They also started listening to literal trannies from the official Discord who were embarrassed to play this game in front of their "partner" because there was a small amount of fanservice. So the character "Nine" had her boobs and armpits censored, but then there was an outrage so her boobs got uncensored but her armpits are still censored for some reason. And this Tiphera character is a pretty good fanservice, but even she was supposed to be lewder and got censored. She has a mental breakdown where there is a small panty peak, but there is also a sticker that the player can earn which is this same mental breakdown image, but it's uncensored and her skirt is lifted up more.

I could say both the site going down and the DDoS stopping was because Square decided to be serious after their quarterly earnings got published on 2/5. The dates match up even more closely, but the logic that connects them is conjencture.
