They are all of roughly equal quality by which I mean they are all mediocre compared to the old games.

I'm not done with 9 yet so I can't properly rank them all but I would say 8 was the only bad one
7 was a good refresh of the series after 5 and 6 derailed it into utter bullshit
9 is fun so far although I dislike the switching perspectives in an ongoing campaign. I would always prefer the classic choose your character at the start of the game and play through the campaigns one by one

I felt like Village had high highs but low lows. Mainly in that they blew their load too quickly with the first two areas.

These last few RE's were probably build around a strong core idea and then they padded around that. RE7's start up until the chainsaw duel was probably that game's core, the village and castle for RE8 and for 9 the asylum. It can really lead to some abrupt nosedives in quality when you hit a padding section.

9 has the intro, the first part of the care center, and the basement which suck. The rest of the care center is good, and Leon's segments are worse than 4R but still decent. 7 and 8 have scripted segments and hide and seek shit, but never really have good gameplay, especially 7 with it's horrible enemy variety and gunplay.

7 is basically all the good parts of the care center, but better, and its hide and seek elements are far better since Jack is dynamic and you really don't have to hide at all and wait for the scripted monster to leave like in 9. Lack of enemy variety is the biggest myth about 7. They all just look like fungus, but there are at least five different types of enemy functionality. 8 sucks so I won't defend it too much but its hide and seek elements are exactly like 9s, but better cause they're shorter and actually LESS scripted.

Grace is not entirely hide and seek. Her big chunk in the care center is classic RE gameplay, just more linear. Her basement section and the Girl boss fight are lame as fuck though and heavily scripted.

>7 is basically all the good parts of the care center,
Absolutely fucking not. The Baker house is just not good. It has 2 enemy types, a shitty hide and seek stalker, tons of scripted shit and linear progression.
>and its hide and seek elements are far better
They're all shit.
>Lack of enemy variety is the biggest myth about 7. They all just look like fungus, but there are at least five different types of enemy functionality.
You're retarded, don't know what actual functional variety is and I will not be replying to you again. 7fags are fucking idiots.

>Grace is entirely hide and seek
The care center literally is not. There's nothing to argue about here. You're just factually wrong. Every single enemy can be killed, and the routing is actually good.
