I was just going through NG4 on Master Ninja Mode since the DLC is coming out and I honestly didn't remember this game being this bad. With Black and 2 it felt fun to figure out the battles and finally claw your way to the next save statue. NG4 just feels like shit. The worst part is they couldn't even get the basics right, which points are checkpoints and what about your load out is saved is ambiguous. I'd rather play Razor's edge than this.
