That's why he's the GOAT. I don't give a fuck. Leon is like the last video game hero. He has never cucked out to modern times and stayed a larger than life figure who does more impossible and retarded shit.

>Grace's report confirms the first mention of Elpis was in the 80s, so Spencer was already researching an antivirus back then
>it also confirms he turned face in the 90s and stopped experimenting on kids
>but he's still raving about becoming a god when we see him again in 2006
He's so senile he forgot his own plan and motivation?

Why can't we get a conclusion to his story, though? Either dying as a hero or just retiring for good. This game was supposed to be his sendoff but the ending leaves it in the air

Leon is like Captain America. He doesn't have any real superpowers. His real superpower is not showing off how super he really is.
Chris Redfield is STARS, he's all about the celebrities in the sky. The STARS go out one by one, making humanity's navigable path to a foreseeable future difficult. In the darkness of the sky there is Grace Ashcroft who is pale like the Moon, which is alluded to several times throughout RE9.
Umbrella is a TERM for an idea. Things like life and death are blurry and the TERM changes the meaning of who the enemy is every game, hence the umbrella term ending in 2004, when the companies stocks dissolved, and later down the line in 2026, when it is revealed the company coerced the government into being its bitch, or else it would terrorize the entire American population with strains of the progenitor virus.

Idk if you know this anon but in old age people do really dumb shit. Senility/dementia as an explanation for erratic nonsensical behavior would honestly be less drastic than a lot of asspulls in this franchise.

Why would he think at that moment there would be a chance to save Emily when he doesn't know about the Hag regenerating? Did he really put 2 and 2 together that Emily was linked to the hag in any way at that point?

Leon toes the line between Nazi and Jewish messiah too much for me. I get nervous seeing him in games.

Nah bro, no way.
You look at this and tell me Leon knew what he was shooting for.
>>

I'm guessing you can't change the outcome for Emily. I never shoot her and just let the game autocomplete it for me when it snaps the camera back to her and fires once.
Has anyone tried magdumping into her exposed Tyrant heart?

That fight was the hardest fight in the game and felt bs because I mad dumped the Requiem into his heart and still had to blow a lot of regular ammo to kill him. I usually am good with parrying but it's hard in this game with almost no telegraph

With all those labs around the world, with all that technology, how big they were, plus all the personnel and logistics, I think it was too cheap to cover all the expenses. That's probably the real reason why Umbrella went out of business. This shit was unsustainable.

Aside from the Americucks who make 10 hour essay videos on RE lore, I think nobody cares
people don't play Resident Evil for the story

>emotional depth
This isn't a requirement for good storytelling, it's just one of many ways to get it done. Sometimes people like hearing stories of cool people doing cool shit, that's arguably the original structure of the story as a concept.
>>
>>
>>734141508
I mean, I'll just say, Resident Evil started having Emotional Depth around the time of RE7. RE7, 8, and 9 have some pretty memorable moments built around characters and personalities, unlike all of the previous games where it was just plot twists and "le epic moments".
I don't know what their turn-around plan explicitly was behind closed doors after the flop that was 6, but RE7 successfully revitalized the series, and humanizing the characters more was definitely a big part of that.

Millennial actually. But you're lying to yourself if you're going to say that RE7 and on have not actively been trying to promote drama more. RE9, character-wise, is probably the best written of the series so far.
Plot-wise it's middling.
