fucking kek
the tweet is incoherent regarding the whole family shit but the idea of a buy who doesnt buy games just playing them for free anyway, through what im assuming is game sharing or whatever is fucking poopoo hilarious!!
>>
>>734136350
I have no idea wtf this is about
>>
>>734136350
>yes I want to shares with these people they are family *wink* *wink*
>nooooo not like that!
Deserved.
>>
>>734136446
>>734136462
From what I understand, steam has a family share function that lets people share games in the same household.
Thirdies however just join any family group in the hopes that they can play free games when they come out
>>
Poorfags really sharing their games just to save a few pennies, grim
>>
>>734136462
Someone joined a family share group on Steam. Boughted Resi 9 and a leech in that group doesn't let him play it.
I think it's bs anyway because he can force Steam to give him preference.
>>
>Translated from portuguese
Its br monkeys, some of them were bragging here about making a site where they make groups of family sharing so they can play games for free.
Typical brown behavior.

Wow that was so hard!

>>
>>734136350
that's bullshit, the original owner of the game forces the other to quit if he starts playing it
>>
>>734136673
how does this even proliferate? since youre both banking and convincing on 1 person to buy the latest games. and i assume theyre all br thus poorfags

>guy joins a steam family, where you can share all your games but only one person in the family can play it at a time, the purchaser gets priority
>if the purchaser starts playing it kicks the other family member out from playing
>poster probably joined some discord "family"
>poster didnt buy re9
>someone else does in the family
>it gets added to the family library
>another third guy in the family who doesnt buy anything cucks the poster out of playing a game he also didn't pay for
>poster complains
>>
>>734136350sage
No idea what are you talking about. Why don't you simply discuss it back on twitter where you found it?
>>
>>734136918
>the purchaser gets priority
that doesn't happen anymore
>>
>>734136350
>Joining a random family and not one of people you know
What the actual fuck. Do people REALLY?
>>
>>734136809
The idea is not bad assuming everyone holds any bit of integrity, rotate spending the same amount of money and let the original buyer have priority for at least a while after buying the game. But again these are browns we are talking about.
>>
>>734136350
download the game, restart steam in offline mode
congrats now you can play it.

>>734137413
They don't give a fuck though. Their official stance you saves them a lot of legal overhead and all the cringe news stories about trannies passing on their steam accounts.

Should have bought RE9 on GOG, sweaty. :3
>>
>>734136350
Steamies have to put up with this meanwhile if I buy a game on GOG and my normie friends ask for a copy, I ask for 5 bucks each and we all just play at the same time LMFAO
>>
>>734138124
Lol, this game is not even on gog so you and the other cucks can't even play it.
>>
>>734138124
>$5 for temporary access on demand to download a game you can pirate without DRM for free
are you guys retarded?
>>
>>734137413
But you can already change all the information on your account? Just tell your password and steam guard key to the next of kin before you croak.
>>
>>734138476
>temporary access
Nigga I copy paste the game for them, they play it whenever they want. Also you'd be surprised at how scared normies are to pirate games nowadays. They literally give me 5 bucks for a legit copy lmao.
>>
>>734137846
Yes, but when they actually started the whole steam family thing, that restriction wasn't in place yet so as long as you were in the same country (i believe they went off store region) you could just join regardless. That said, you can still work around the same household restriction by logging into the account from a PC (or phone) in the same network as the one already in the steam family. Similar how the old library share feature worked.
>>
>>734138661
ok, but what if you die? they won't be able to download the games they "bought" unless you give them access to download link, since I doubt they make an archive of everything they downloaded
>>
>>734138760
How are steamies this stupid? They give me the money, I give them the game. What happens after that is none of my concern you stupid cattle.
>>
>>734138661
You're all just legitimately retarded. The illegal transaction you guys are doing is literally a much higher level crime than just pirating from a random site.

>>
>>734139062
There is no seethe, you just have no point and are retarded. With friend's that are so low IQ and easily exploited you literally can just pirate the game and send them a copy of that. I don't even know why you brought up gog. You can't even claim a moral stance since you're literally a complete piece of shit that exploits his friends and a bigger criminal than any pirate.
>>
>>734136796
Correct, so I'm not sure if the Twittertard is lying about buying it for likes or if they're just trying to be 'nice' and not kick them off the game but still farming likes.
>>
>>734139260
That's every game for every person. Why are you so stupid?
>>
>>734136350
This doesn't make any sense. The original owner of the game always gets priority and can kick out whatever "parasite" you're steam sharing to if they're being a dickhead.

what happens if you launch the game and then just kill the internet? the game stops working?
>>
>>734136617
you can't just join random people
>>
>>734136617
You can't join a family if the payment methods are different. I couldn't let my friend from Greece join to try a game before buying it, so he just ended up buying the game anyway. I think it's only for the people within the same country, but I could be wrong, I don't use it. And if I wanted to try something before buying I'd just pirate it as usual.
>>
Maybe don't share your steam account with random people, lol
>>
>>734139536
The generated denuvo token works for a few weeks as long as the system doesn't change. There are a bunch of discord servers that use this method to share denuvo games around on mass.
>>
Anyone who hated the game wants to family share the game with me
>>
>Translated from Portuguese
>>
The only user in my family share is my mother and she plays only indie stuff from time to time.
I would never add anyone who plays the same game as me exactly so I won't stumble upon situation like in OP.
>>734139536
Depends on the game. Some games have draconian drm that checks internet connection to their servers and will just boot you into the main menu until you get online again.
>>
>>734138432
Not that guy but I wasn't gonna spend 70 bucks on some sloppy rehashed assets from older games, kek. I'm white so I value money
>>
>>734136446
Did it with a m8.
A lot(but not al) games support family sharing, so you get instant access to your m8's library and he to yours.
If he plays a game you own, you cant play it.

We stopped because I owned 650 games and he owned 450 and even with the "non share games" I suddenly got a library of 875 games. Sounds cool, isnt at all

Too much for us both. But its handy for poor people
>>
is family sharing still region locked to only 1 country?
>>
>>734136350
>joining a shitty family

Gee I wonder who the parasite is.
>>
>>734139786
Ok, thanks for the information I guess.
>>
>>734139792
Also would like to add:
>>734136350
This is prolly bullshit. To get a person into your group, he needs to sign in on his pc on the same IP. So unless he went over, logged in and out of his steam account, he couldnt just join a group

So as always, twitter fags be lying for likes
>>
so leave the family
>>
>>734139517
No you eat the poop sirs, I will beat you the next time you say such things Rajeesh.
>>
>>734139905
you are the retard, the new family sharing doesnt work like that anymore
>>
>>734136796
Not how it worked before. Whoever launched the game first played it
>>
>>734139925
lol if you leave a family you can't join another one for a whole year
>>
I don't really know the context of OP's image, but I know that feeling all too well. I've been sharing libraries with a friend for years now, but a while ago he started to barely buy anything anymore and also just leeches off of my games. Had moments where he camped the unlock times of games and played them before I even had a chance due to work or other life stuff. Ever since I've been making big purchases private to keep him from accessing them altogether because when I pay for something the least I'd expect is the courtesy of letting me play that shit first.

We originally did this for mutual benefit, so either he partakes in the whole sharing aspect or he can get fucked and play his shit months later when I actually remember to make the games public again. And yes, I told him that already which was something he didn't necessarily take all that well, so nuking what is left of like 20 years of friendship by just kicking him wouldn't be all too desirable either.

>>734139536
You can start Steam in offline mode and still have access to everything. Pic related.
>>
>>734136350
>joins Steam family to exploit the feature and be a fucking leech
>Nooo someone is being a leech on me :(
Do these brownoid subhumans possess any self-awareness?
>>
>>734140142
Had this but it was a friend of a friend. Always whenever I bought a new game he was on that shit and didn't even ask. Got so annoying I just left the family overall. Wasn't worth it and I already have a pretty solid library of games anyway
>>
>>734140142
nice humiliation ritual, just learn to fucking pirate
>>
>>734139905
From the looks of it you need to log in or some shit.
Idk what the currency situation is like in huehueland but I aint risking my account to save a few bucks
Which begs the question of why these people arent just pirating the game anyway.
>own pc capable of playing brand new games
>to play games you must trust test your account with brownoids and jeets for your turn to play
>>
>>734136661
>>734136918
You don't get purchaser priority in the new 6-family system. That was only in the old system where you shared your entire library privileges at once with only one other person. It's set up this way due to the assumption you're all in one family household.
There is a trick for OP guy to still be able to play the game, if he just disconnects from the internet and restarts Steam offline he can play the game
>>
>>734140142
what a bizarre arrangement
i couldnt fathom having a friend pay money for a game and generously put it in a shared library, and then waiting for the moment it unlocks and booting it up first so he cant even play it
>>
>>734136350
Hilarious. I imagine he can't communicate with the other person. I'm in the same situation and I would solve it by just telling the other party that I'm still playing the game, I'm about to finish it or something they can play in about x hours or if they want to play now they can do it offline.
>>
Just go offline? My brothers and I share a family account, and we pitch in $20 bucks to buy games, and just going offline lets us play games together.
>>
>>734140850
Problem is youre assuming these are two people willing too cooperate and share so everyone benefits

In reality the other guy is some brownoid third worlder just grabbing whatever he can and as much as he can
>>
What's stopping the retard from going and opening the exe file? Steam is just a DRM. Once you have it downloaded into your system, you can just open the exe.

>>

>>
>>734136350
Genuinely why the fuck would you even be part of a "Steam family".
Just fucking buy the games on your profile they each cost like 5 dollars everytime there's a sale.
>>
>>734136350
?
You can literally kick that parasite out of the game. Steam will give preference to the buyer.
>>
>>734136462
cuck trapped in a digital chastity cage
>>
>>734142659
Why buy games on steam at all? On PC they're free
>>
>>734142659
You have to understand that third worlders are not only poor as shit but they also hold Gabe's "piracy is a service problem" as a holy scripture because he technically defended them and no company has ever cared about them. So they do this bullshit so they aren't pirating but still get free games.
>>
>>734136350

>communist niggas the second they see what a commune is like when 1+ people are lazy leeches that only do the bare minimum to not get kicked out
>>
>>734146532
The modern steam family share system is the most lenient digital library sharing today besides cracked/drm-free games. This is most likely the best you could do without pissing off publishers, because obviously they wouldn't take too well to multiple people playing the same copy when you can't do that with a physical copy. That and you can just go offline to circumvent it.
>>
>>734136350
>try to cheat system
>system cheats you instead
kek get fucked
>>
>>734136350
The hell?If he bought the game, steam favors him and will kick the other person. He could also just go offline and everyone could play it at the same time, though I guess denuvo could fuck with that initial boot.
>>
>>734136918
The buyer can just put steam in offline mode and play just fine though. Is RE online only or some shit?
>>
>>734147491
This. Not to mention that Steam tried TWICE to get the ability to pack up copies to resell even with a cut of the resale price going to the game's publisher, but all the AAA publishers had such a big hissy fit and threatened to leave Steam and pull their catalogue if it went through, so I totally understand why
>You can share the digital game, but you can't all play it at the same time on different PCs with limitless numbers of people
is a thing,.
>>
>>734136350
I'm sure it's been said 25 other times but you can boot someone playing your copy of a game
>>
>>734149871
Its probably denuvo refusing to let another IP play the game within a 24 hour period
>>
>>734150029
Normally it just has a certain number of installs you're allowed to do. I have a feeling the person in OP's picture is a just a dumbass.
