A good light roast is up there with Adderall for me, I get fucking ENERGETIC for a good 2-3 hours, granted it sends me almost immediately to the shitter and I piss every 4 and a half seconds for that period

at 29 years of age ill drink two or 3 cups of coffee a year on a whim to see if ive acquired the taste for burnt spic water yet or not and every single time its just horrifically bad. meanwhile i have ~10 different kinds of tea in my kitchen from regular black tea to weird herbally ones and every single one of them is good without having to turn it into a 1600 calorie nightmare to be palatable. And every once in a while i pick up some random tea and its pretty rare to end up with a dud that i purely do not like. i really just dont get it especially when theres better teas out there for energy that dont set you on edge like a spastic.

you know, I don't like mayonnaise.
but I have never made posts to complain about it and call it bad
you know why?
because the fact that I don't enjoy it doesn't bother me
why do you let your tastes bother you? everyone has different taste buds. if you don't like coffee, that's fine. no need to be so upset about it

i frequent /ck/ so i do and will complain about others taste buds. what bothers me is that the absolute high majority of people who drink coffee dont actually like it and need flavored cream/milk to tone it down or need so much that it just changes to something else. Its so prevelant that saying
>coffee, black
is often a joke in movies and tv. there arent nearly full aisles at the grocery store dedicated to tea creamer because it stands on its own. I know people that do enjoy and drink it primarily black, with that being said. the majority of people are going to wince like they just had a sip of everclear if you give them pure coffee.

i drink black but prefer to put sugar because coffee is shit where i live and good coffee is WAY more expensive
coffee producers export the good grains and only sell nationally the worse stuff after it's been toasted to hide the flavor, you can really tell if you compare "quality" coffee with it

most people prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate too
does that mean they don't enjoy the chocolate part of it?
the great part about cooking is how different flavors can combine to become greater than the sum of their parts
would you rather eat a peanut butter & jelly sandwich or a spoonful of peanut butter, then a spoonful of jelly, then a bite of bread?

i believe that fully. as a hater i have had higher end coffee from snooty shops before and its definitely noticeably better than out of a generic tin or god forbid instant. whats fucked is that i really enjoy bitter drinks but ive never had coffee that i can truly say
>yes i want this on purpose and frequently
idk if you know it or not, but try a tiny tiny pinch of salt in coffee sometime. it helps a lot with the bitterness and you might be able to cut back on the sugar jew a bit.

at a certain point with the chocolate im inclined to say no if a person ONLY likes milk chocolate but thats adding more onto what you really asked. Theres a certain point where, with coffee that, i think youre just better off trying something else if even for health reasons. since its /v/ its kind of like saying you really like jrpgs but turn based combat sucks. at a certain point you can get away from it but after a while, its hardly a jrpg anymore. I like tea a lot and can hand out recommendations all day with all kinds of different flavor profiles. saying you like coffee and being only able to take it in extremely specific ways is just retarded after a while and not something that i would consider to be "liking", closer to tolerating really.
