How come people on here think games like this and Little Kings Story were discussed online back then? As someone who was around during the Wii days, I can say they were never discussed at all.

Muramasa was definitely discussed.
Little King's Story was only brought up by people who pretended that the Wii had third party games.
>>
I mean they were, but just in niche forums and even then they were missed. It was only for the kiddos like myself who were desperate to justify buying a Wii instead of a 360.
Not that those were bad games of course, but it was fucking dire if you didn't want to play shovelware or Nintendo's usual.

>nobody talked about it on the official nintendo fourms I posted on when I was 10 so nobody talked about it

The only reason I know about this game is because people talked about it.
>>
>>734152651
it was popular enough on here and the Vita version was a constant topic in neverever threads until the vita emulator got better.
>>
Muramasa was like top 5 most talked about Wii game back then. You're right about Little Kings Story. I only knew about it from a personal friend.

It was talked about constantly. People recognized that it was in the Metroidvania style, but just using new swords as keys made it unappealing for anyone who expected Super Metroid. They could've just had distinct areas selected on a map.

This shit still trapped on the Wii and PS Vita? It needs a port at least to the switch or PC.

i literally learned about this gem from /v/

They weren't. I would know. I tried to make threads a fags like OP ignored them.

Wasn't Adventure Time more discussed online than Muramasa when it came to video games though? I remember a lot of people online yelling "ALGEBRAIC" back then.

What the fuck are you on about? Wiitards were salivating for this game. Discussions did die out rather quickly though, it's not their strongest title
>>
>>734152651
Because a far superior version came out and Vitalets are still seething over it.

And the wii version has terrible translation, so much dialog are just trunkated.

Buying a Vita was a great decision.
I play all my 8 bit Sega games on it.

They were definitely sleeper hits, but they had a passionate minority, particularly here.

I read that as "Saga" but yeah you can play those on your Vita too.

A Switch port may happen, but it's unlikely considering the age of the game. A PC port will never happen just because Vanillaware is paranoid of pirates and mostly modders outing their trade secrets, which I can respect. I just enjoy what we have now. It's not like there isn't a lot of content to the game for a 20-30 hour play-through

Man you aren't joking:
https://militarypenguin.livejournal.com/281392.html

Entire character motivations and little nuances are just lost in the Ignition script. Jinkuro is an entirely different character and the twist laid out by Yukinojo is lessened among other things. It's like experiencing an entirely different story in the same game. Is there a patch to fix that in the Wii version in Dolphin? I would get a Vita, but honestly this is the only game I'd get. Are there any good Vita emulators out there now?

first time playing the vita version.
really hard to play this after playing leifthrasir first.
they did such a good job with that one, i wish they would more games with that kind of gameplay
>>
They were discussed among people who liked Wii games, but you had to fight against a constant tide of people basically calling you gay or a little girl, for even owning a Wii.
>>
>>734152651
why does vanillaware hate pc?
>>
They most definitely were, you fool. That's how I downloaded these games (and a couple others, like Fragile Dreams or Hotel Dusk on DS).
>>

>pirates
thinly-veiled excuse. all consoles prior to this gen got cracked
>modders outing their trade secrets
assets have been extracted and posted all over the interwebz. not an excuse

Enjoy your 3 exclusives left, vitachud.
>>
wasn't Ignition a jeet company?
>>
>>734160662
I've pirated all their games. You can emulate all of them as well.
Fuck vanillacuck, if they had released their games on steam I'd have probably purchased them.
>>
>>734152651
So were there any other sites online that talked about these two games besides 4chan?
>>
>>734162509
I only know Gamefaqs/Gamespot
>>
>>734159367
Leifthrasir works better as a combo action game. This is simpler and relies heavily on the sword draw cut attack.
>>
>>734152651
They were both discussed online you fucking retarded zoomer.
