It feels like complete shit after you've done the quests once before. You can spruce it up as much as you want with mods to change how it plays, but in the end the bots are completely lifeless even with all the work put into them. Nothing can come even close to a fraction of a percent of the feeling you get hunting or being hunted down by another actual player, and for me that's where the fun is.

a pistol might be cheaper so you lose less when you die, but for a little more you can have a rifle like this that will almost always return in insurance, and actually has a good chance of killing a pmc with good gear. this build costs 65k total. if you need BP, scav on reserve and check all the surface buildings, you can get boxes of BP/BT/BS quite often, I've got around 4000 BT/BP and 1500 BS.
good gear only lets you make more mistakes, get good with shit gear/good ammo and you'll be a menace with actually good gear.

Yeah, I agree w/ what other anons have said so far about it. It's good if you're new to tarkov, but it's really a different game than pvp is. Back in the day I had a lot of fun killing bots in games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Killzone, etc. and would say that it should be thought of in the same vain as old school single player shooters. I have never played in a squad larger than a duo, and even that was like ~5 years ago now. I remember duoing being a blast IF you both stayed alive most of the raid at least. It was pure fucking shit, if me or my bro died at the very start of the raid to an instant headshot. Then it was just solo play for the other guy plus having to protect your shit and hide them too. Then you kinda just had to do something else, while he made his way through the map.

I still remember the last time I played with my bro. It was just when Customs got its overhaul with the fort and stuff. He had the worst shitstreak you could imagine, he just literally got killed by the first bullet fired within the raid every raid. Then I killed his killer, stashed his stuff and always just sprinted for the exfil asap. After like 10 raids of that, he just told me that the game is pure fucking shit and there's absolutely no point in getting so angry at a video game, as he had just done. Then that was it, he quit for good, after we had played the game together for like 1000 hours.

Then here I am, after all these years and having played for 2000 hours solo. It's a lonely and a painful experience. I miss playing with my bro.

Hydra shok and rip demolish legs but I personally don't suggest it for a true secondary option using only leg meta. They can't pen death shadows which means if you're not in the not uncommon situation where the legs aren't available you're fucked because the pen on those rounds won't get through a death shadow. Only running the 45 vector if you have ap available is not retarded, but practical. I would run the sr2 with PE first entirely because it has 20 pen. It's an entirely different story if you're sitting in some filthy rat spot waiting for some poor asshole to walk in front of you though.

Fort used to be seriously imbalanced dogshit that led to one side being spawn trapped 100% of the time. It's still not great about that. Bowl is fairly open and both sides have spawn trap potential but it's probably the most balanced map because of it. Bay 5 has the same problem. The maps are honestly fucking terrible for checkpoint.
