Just finished this romhack, how do we feel about it?
My thoughts were basically
>fun split party gimmick and full deployment for the first 2/3s, everyone gets some focus
>great character writing, a few really satisfying arcs
>grounded plot with a large cast, multiple factions and twists
>very high player power level and abundant resources, lategame maps get a bit too easy
>lots of reinforcements in general, sometimes dumb ones spawning randomly in the middle of your units
>didn't like the ending, huge cliffhanger that kind of invalidates achievements in this game and sweeps over setup for what would have been more interesting conflicts in the sequel
Overall very solid for a fan project, writing in particular was better than anything IS has managed

The Dawn Brigade is... interesting.
In a sense, I really like them, Radiant Dawn having you come up with ways that utter good for nothings like Edward and Meg can contribute is fascinating, and it really does feel satisfying when you have Meg make a super valuable play that only she can do.
But the units are just dogshit by any other metric. There's no salvaging any of them. Even if you try, they're casually outperformed by random dogshit units on other teams when things come together, let alone units like Haar.

If you want to know what's REALLY infuriating. You know Sothe? They have a sorta cool mechanic for him. If you cap his level in PoR, that's the Sothe you start with in RD.
...unfortunately, even with Blossom, transfer Sothe is usually worse than base RD Sothe, unless you rig levels or give him stat boosters. Using Sothe actually, usually penalizes you later.
Some units really really benefit from transfers, Nepheene is probably the best case, where getting her +2 strength or +2 speed makes her WAY better for when you need to use her & Brom in RD, or getting Giffca's +2 makes the difference between him being glued to the bench, or being a genuinely good unit. Elincia getting some transfers makes her a powerhouse. But Sothe having a unique transfer method, that usually ends up with Sothe being WORSE on average, especially if you don't use Blossom, is just sad.

Well, you probably want to get Kurt and Alberta up there so that Elfire and Elthunder are leveled. Instantly dealing 100+ damage is very good. I spent yesterday leveling Alberta as a shadow, and I could feel the seethe when I started matching with real players again. Since she has Elthunder EX, she can instantly kill any red player as a shadow, and she can lock down anyone else's abilities to just self-heals while her minions get in position to kill with auto attacks.

If you drop crossheal and swap for a healing swap or pull, you can free up another slot in the light room.
I also personally find heavy cross attacks better than tetra attacks in the moon room. It's harder to place 2x2s sometimes without hitting yourself, but with a cross shape you can place only part of it on the enemies and avoid hitting yourself or your ally.

I honestly think the next fire emblem game after the 3h prequel will be an awakening 3D remake in that next game's engine. Early to mid 2020s was normies getting nostalgic for 90-early 2000s gaming and wanting remakes. Late 2020s will be normies getting nostalgic for the early to mid 2010s. FE awakening would be a prime remake suspect since all the currently 20 year old tendies played awakening as a child.

Anyone know how to extract the contents of DATA1.bin in FE3H's romFS?
I can extract DATA0.bin no problem, but when I try to extract DATA1.bin with either Three Houses Archive Tool or FETH Archive Manager they both crash.
