Doing a roguelike run in any roguelike game should put me in control and then I try to steer the run towards my desired direction using the choices the game gives me.
Doing a run of ascension is just a series of RNG choices for which I have absolutely zero control over where I'm forced to seek a specific result or else my record is trash. It's safe to say most people who play the game to this day like the core of the game (like myself), so they're praying that Yostar communicates with their playerbase on what they're doing and when they're doing that, plus another dev letter wouldn't hurt, it's been 2 months since the last one and pretty much nothing has changed since.

The only reason i haven't dropped it yet it is because of the story and that it has the fastest dailies in the entire gacha industry. I'm curious to see what yostar does.

I legitimately don't want any of that though. I have every character. I clear almost all the content without having to mald emblems or records. I enjoy the story and event pacing. The only thing that is difficult is menace arena but that becomes easy when they release an AOE DPS for each element. Literally the only thing that I say is annoying is that support and main skills need to be leveled separately because that makes it harder to test characters in both positions.

What most people are complaining about are Ascension and Emblems.
Ascension because its stupid RNG and how you'll never get the record you want unless you do a trillion runs.
And Emblems because you can burn stamina for months and never get the GOOD ones (Pen, Crit, Main/Supp Skill Charge, +3 on Skill Levels, etc). I've been playing since day one and I only have 1 Rainbow PEN emblem to show for it, despite burning months of stamina along with stamina pots from monthlies and such.

There's no content.. yet. Wind arena was done before Wraith, and you can't replay stages, current story stages are so easy lvl 1 chars can clear it and BBlitz has no wind weakness so it's pointless to try anything.

So all you can do right now is try to get a record. And I still believe that giving the player X amount of points you can then freely distribute to character pots, possibly increasing in cost past x upgrades (e.g. pot and updates cost 1 point, once you got 15 points spent it costs 2, past 30 it costs 3), and a bunch of note points in a similar way, it'd be much better.
We already RNG mald enough with emblems.

What? The skill build is better than the minion build at every investment level. The minion build even has to care about auto attack levels more than the skill build does because the finishers on the minion build scale off of it.
You can't focus on ults even with good emblems either. Firenze can't generate energy fast enough to use it off cooldown, and only one of her ult potentials is actually good.

Her ulti just does a tonshit of damage, and instant liquidation is really good. So good you even end up taking it in the skill build.

Anyways, the minion build scales about the same even with most minion buffs in the game being bugged as fuck. It's just a build that's way too fucking annoying to play because you have to count autos and shit. You will make mistakes, you will perform worse.
