Because whether you're a rising star or not riot matchmaking is still rigged. If your account is flagged to be a rage querer than whether your teammates have a decent w/l is irrelevant. The fact that they're in your game means statistically they're more likely to lose than not because the system was designed for them to lose that game. Your hidden mmr, your win loss ratio, none of it is nearly as important as the tags that riots EOMM algorithm has flagged on your accounts backend profile. The only way to consistently win and not be intentionally fucked over is to never queue after losing to games in a row for the rest of the day, and never spend money or buy rp unless you're on a multi game win streak.

New player here. I recently got into lol after watching way too many zwag videos and wanting live out that power fantasy his videos are all about. Anyways I watched a bunch of new player guides, swiped to unlock a few characters, and just procrastinated, and when I finally got into a real match... against bots... it was fucking awful.
Just fucking moving is a nightmare, having to do 50 micro clicks just to hit one asshole while juggling the distance between you and a tower shot is fucking obnoxious.
I was playing top as mundo and was pitted against a bot keenan I the little fucker just kept letting me with shurikens with pin point accuracy the moment I was in range and outside of landing the occasional saw I mostly felt hopeless and got slaughtered, and I also wasn't that tanky despite being a "tank". I also had no idea what to do when he was near tower.
Is this the normal new player experience? Should I just spam bot matches and it'll all "click" eventually? So far I've had more fun doing literally everything league related but actually playing the game.

I've been playing for like 15 years now so idk how it feels to be new desu, but it's a steep learning curve. Basically your main goal is to last hit minions while staying out of his range, buy a magic resist item and some boots and then run the little rat fucker down.
Yeah you have to click a shit load to play the game it's basically an RTS game where you need 100-400APM

mundo is a late game character, which means you need gold and exp. Early on mundo is not a champion. Also don't waste your money on champions. I'd play a few more of those bot games and jump into draft asap. You will lose a lot of games but it will force you to be better. Choose a role and a few simple champions that are played there. Focus on those and then you can learn other stuff

The new player experience is going to be different for everyone because of it because people who've mostly played sports games or shooters in the past likely aren't used to clicking around so much as someone who, let's say, has played Warcraft 3 or SC2 in the past would be.

It's a muscle memory thing and nobody even clicks around that much *willingly* - it just gets to a point where you start doing it without thinking because it's just so natural. I'm emerald because I don't play enough games in a season to go beyond that. So I truly do not care. Emerald is just the retirement for old high elos so the quality of games varies the most there as diamond+ automatically decays you to emerald. Ah. Shyvana isn't really too hard to play, the issue is that she's too binary. You're either playing against a team that won't kite you, in which case you're a monster, or they can kite you, in which case you're irrelevant. This coupled with the fact that she's one of those "farm for 20 minutes then carry but offer no utility" junglers/tops means that actually maining her is too risky, at most she's a counterpick and even then there's better options for that same niche. And the AP build, well, last time I tried it (which was actually today in ARAM) I was surprised at how little damage I was doing, dunno if it got nerfed or what.
