The 1.1 announcement/dev log will totally cement Endfield as a legit /egg/-related videogame. And not just another shitty gacha live service.
You'll see.
The whole world will see.
...please recommend me a real engineering game. I've played through Factorio and Satisfactory already

>I'm seriously considering going back to Minecraft. Is GTNH the go-to /egg/'s modpack?
I think e2e (small) or dj2 (big) are better, but gtnh is the most ambitious.

>Warframe adds factorioid elements
>it's 3 missions with a mix of Hijack and Defection objectives
>conveyors that only work while you're nearby, powered by shields
>sub-objectives that get attacked by dedicated saboteur groups
>each destroyed sub-objective needs to be repaired, otherwise mission progress slows down
>breaking all 4 of them stops progression
>repair packs rarely drop from the enemies
>central hub needs protecting too
>hub getting rekt is instant mission failure
That'll be 10e63 plat, plus forma.
I'm genuinely scared what they'd do if they ever get it into their drunk canuck head to do it for a quick beer money grab.
Thank fuck Steverino is now out of the picture, that bald cunt is liable to do anything on a fucking whim.Grineer factory aesthetic goes hard, however. Corpus is close behind, but in a less grimey and more "perfectionist modern design" way.

then you set up walls and flamethrowers and never worry about them again

anons, let's say i have an item that takes 2 ingredients. if i put one ingredient that is normal, and one that is rare, how is the result quality calculated? does it take the lowest quality (normal), or is there some sort of weight applied? i

There's only one banner on that release. Which might hint at another content patch two week after this one.
Or not...
>>
>>558977398
well yvonne banner last till 12 march and we arent getting shit till 29 of march, so even if its 2 banners, it doesnt mean we are getting an update right after, also, talking about this, almost 20 days of literally no banner, what the fuck are they even thinking
>>

>>558977736
okay, but i mean that in a roulette sense. i don't know, maybe i understand this wrong:
>put down building, set it to recipe X
>fill it with quality modules
>with only normal ingredients, chance of rare item is Y%
>with one normal, and one rare ingredient, chance of rare item is ???%
that's what i mean
>>
>>558977894
it says ''available march 29 2026 at 12pm'' and for tang says available after [story name update] release at 29 march 2026 at 11:59 am''
doesnt make much sense this implies that both are available with 1 min of difference between each other
>>
>>558977894
they didn't mix up the date you just can't read esl-kun
and it is tangtang then rossi
>>558978159

if the recipe is set to uncommon you can only use uncommon inputs
you can never use mixed quality inputs

>>558977223
Seems okay to me.
They have to start slow. It's the gacha audience they are trying to string along here, after all...
And they hinted at another batch of AIC-related feature in the next update, anyway.
What I'm really curious about is how that new crap pans out in the open-ish world.
I hope it's not just gonna end up as a few consumable items...
The sewage thingy is clearly not meant to be a useful item, just a byproduct waste which needs to be neutralized.
So I guess the kidney machine will be the only one to provide with something useful.(?)

Biters compliment industry in a very well managed and thoughtful manner. The more you pollute and expand, the more they hit back. It's not a resource sink, it's a stress test for your factory to make sure you don't get bored just building for the sake of building. I never had problems with biters overall.

While that's true, that's only by py2.
There's also a point to be made for meat -> cyanic (is it meat to cyanic acid? I forget.), where meat is your second biggest common export as well
personally I like getting both the moondrop and the waterless moss >>550225150 to do a silly thing for ridiculous amounts of power, but wood/kicalk work too.
It's crazy just how much they tried no nerf biomass, but all the other options suck balls.
>>
>>559016058
interesting, you need 33 kicalk plantations to get 32 biomass
15 moss per second made out of water and farts recycles into twice as much
My main issue in this case though would be the ups overhead of having 180 moss farms with 180 mechanical inserters for every 15 moss per second

The building ships part was actually fun. There's a ton of stuff starbase did that other ship building games don't come close to.
The real issue was them trying to make it a fucking MMO and all the desync buggy garbage that came from that.
I remember we had to bolt a chair down on top of our ship to stop one guy from lagging off into the void while we went on our trip to the moon area.
>>
>>
>>
>>559046190
Indeed the ship building in starbase was excellent up to a point. They lost me when they refused to fix their retarded sub-object physics and didn't even see it as a problem.
>primary structural component of ships is the metal girders
>if you try to make a sub-object eg: a door out of metal girders it doesn't work because girders are not structurally sound anymore. What they really want you to do is make the "skin" of the door the primary structure.
>point out to the devs that this is retarded, inconsistent, unintuitive and shit for ship building.
>they don't even acknowledge that it's a problem.
Fuck em.

You need to have something better than solar panels for Aquilo and beyond, yes. That fundamentally means that your space platform stops being self-sustaining, but as long as you use some rudimentary circuit logic to limit how many fuel cells you're burning, you can last for weeks to months on one good squat over Nauvis for fuel. Works better if you use a combinator that's also hooked up to an Accumulator so that you can do the following checks
>If ( [A] < 25 ) && ( [T] < 650 ) && ( [Fuel] == 0 ), activate Inserter
Where A = Accumulator charge, T = the reactor's temp, and Fuel is the icon for Uranium Fuel Cells. All of that stuff's built-in, although you need to make it so T is readable on the reactor.
Generally I find this to be overkill and just check for T, because rate-limiting your fuel is enough to make it last for weeks.
Also, Fusion Reactors are more efficient. You don't have to do the checks because they only use the cell when they're generating power.
>>
>>559064483
Also, Solar Panels have different levels of efficiency, based on their position in the solar system as well as the planet you're on. You can find all that information when you click on the Space Map. Aquilo's orbit has something around 60% solar efficiency, so you could theoretically make it work if you shoved efficiency modules into everything and had a huge amount of solar panels. But that instantly gets out-performed by a single reactor, one heat exchanger, and as few as 2 or 4 turbines (the steam can also be stored in a tank)

>>559048910
It's still baffling to me how they made an entire complex and highly performant voxel system... only to not allow anyone actually use it in any significant way outside of pre-assembled parts. I could directly *see* how I could easily manufacture whatever structural element I actually want, but the editor simply doesn't allow it.
But that's not what killed the game, their complete lack of response to all the new players, their concerns and the basic shit wrong with the game is what killed it. They just kept developing the game as if they were preparing for beta instead of having just released it. Like you said, they were completely blind to the problem and instead did their own retarded shit that's completely unrelated, like working on planets that 99.9% of players will never visit nor see. It's just so much wasted potential because of behind-the-scenes circlejerking.
>>
>>559064980
Aside from just finding a bigger island on which to do Fulgora things, I agree with you. One of the biggest redpills about space age is that Fulgora is the worst planet. Its only redeeming quality is the buildings you get from it. At least on Aquilo you can freebuild over the ocean, with your only bottleneck being how fast you can produce ice platforms.

It's all about combustion, actually.
You want one [whatever] applicator, preferably in AoE. Like gilberta. To prime a maximum of foe with a non-fire art infliction.
And then, you want a Burn applicators such as Wulfgard or Akekuri to trigger the combustion effect.
Last spot is free. Fill it with whatever you need for the current content. When in doubt, a vulnerability applicator is probably your go-to option.

How early? I like to rush flamethrower, ever since they made mapgen so forgiving that you always have an oil slick near the spawn.
The alternative is a lot of clicking. 2-3 grenades to kill the first wave on approach, then drop turrets just out of range of nests so they don't get locked shooting the nest they only do 1 damage to (or use a blueprint with targeting priorities) and then switch to shotgun.
Defender capsules are also overlooked, but they don't come much earlier than flamethrower and they need a separate assembly line.
>>
>>558978574
Still got the input+size limitations meaning you set up the factory once and you're done with it forever. We get maybe two hours of factory content before another 3+ months of waiting.
Also a single blueprint can still solve the whole thing. There are no decisions to be made about what to produce, it all just gets converted into money.
